5 /5 Stephanie Dempsey: We are from out of town and took our infant daughter here for emergency care late at night and they were absolutely wonderful. She had to experience a quite unpleasant procedure of a cathider and they gave her a toy for being such a trooper. The nurses and doctors and specialists are all amazingly kind and super caring. I would highly recommend them to any and everyone. Just wish they were in our home town. Thank you everyone for such an amazing job and for taking such care of my baby girl. I can tell the all enjoy their jobs and love helping children. Amazing, amazing place. 5 stars all the way across.

5 /5 Paul Marshall Thomas: My 3 week old son was transported to the childrens hospital from BS&W in College Station, from the second I got to the ER after my wife and the ambulance beat me to Temple they were the absolute best. They did their best to get him into surgery as early as possible and was very quick to keep us updated on when he went to surgery and when he came out of surgery and into a room. We were there a bit over 24 hours from the time he arrived with my wife in the ambulance to the time he was discharged after his surgery. In that time frame every nurse and doctor was very kind and gentle with him, and went out of their ways to ensure me and my wife were also comfortable during our short stay.

1 /5 Kameron Medina: Genuinely if I could give this hospital no stars I would, but that’s not an option. Several years ago I brought my son but we ended up leaving after sitting in the ER for 6 hours. I took him to a different ER and he was back within 45 minutes. This time around I brought my son in because he was actively having back to back seizures, loosing concussions, etc. we told the ladies at the front desk and even the triage ladies noted this as they seen it too. I even got information from my son’s school in regards to it and everyone at his school stated they believed it was also a seizure due to how he was acting. Why on earth did it take almost 3 hours in the waiting before they took him back? The other people around us all told us they simply brought their children in because they were sick. I’m absolutely disgusted with the fact that the front desk ladies and triage nurses ALL seen that my son was clearly having an emergency and left us sitting in the waiting room for 3 hours? What if it got worse? How are you going to be labeled an emergency room but then not tend to literal emergencies being brought in? We probably would have been better off staying on post and going to darnall and they almost let my other son die. Do better!

1 /5 Mae: If you want your child to live go elsewhere!!! Took my child in for out of control pain and vomiting. No fever upon arrival, swollen jaw/neck. They got us back fairly quickly and to a room. Took over an hour to medication in the meantime my child kept vomiting and complaining of pain. They completed blood work, ct with contrast. We were told everything was normal and we were being discharged. Vital signs and has/neck swelling all increased. No one cared!!! The discharge nurse had the audacity to say you’re discharged. But if you feel the need to follow your mom gut you can go check back in. And continued to stare down my child and I. He had a fever and lower oxygen saturation upon discharge. He had enough medication for pain/fever reducing medication that he should not have had a fever in any way. His PCP, and now surgeon are very upset that we were dismissed without concerns. When in fact the CT was abnormal. I am on top of my child’s health and they dismissed us like we were frequently flyers and drug seekers. This was his second visit to the ER in this entire life!

1 /5 Nishanth Varma: Took sick kids for walk in at the clinic in morning around 11.30 Am and they said walk ins dont start until 1 Pm. so I went back again at 12.45 PM and waited for 15 mins since they said it would be first come and first serve basis. I only had one person in front of the me on the queue who also looked like a walk in since they were waiting there. Soon after I checked in the person in front of me went in with their Kid . After that Many parents went in with their kids which i thought could be regular appointment. But then few patients I could make that they were not having regular appointments and could be walk ins went in and i went a checked with front desk and that when they infirmed the provider was busy until 3 and cannot accommodate walk ins until 3 PM. I think its should at least be a nice behavior on hospital part to at least patients know that there is delay rather than making them wait. If we had not asked for the update we would be sitting there until that time with Kids being hungry.. Certainly not a very welcome gesture.. have had a lot of bad experience in past 3-4 years with Scott and White... Just Money Mongers.. no true service providers... every time i go there the experience is getting worse...

Their slogan is when your better we are better but what they really mean is when your not better we are. We just want to charge you more and give you less and expect you to accept that. They act like they have checked everything possible when only doing the bare minimum... they dont even look at your chart before talking to you...very narrow minded and act like if your symptoms arent to a t then it cant be possible and they give "opinions" without proof...

Quinnie: Part two: So after my nerve test I decided to go downstairs and talk to patient relations since they are supposed to advocate for patients. I rang the doorbell as the door states but nobody came to the door. Then I read the note and it says walk in appointment 9am-4pm. Alright still nobody came to the door so I waited and looked through the windows I did not see one human. A few seconds later a Caucasian lady came to the door she had a head set on so that was a clear indication that she may have been on the phone which is why it took so long to come to the door. She apologized immediately and she asked me to take a seat she was on the phone. So, I sat and waited patiently then a causation heavier set male came in and he asked me if I was waiting on him. I said I don’t know who I am waiting for but I need to talk to someone. The lady came back to the front apologize again and indicated she was on a call handling another concern request. She asked me to come into the office. I sat down and prior to sitting she asked me my name and she knew who I was immediately by the compliant I submitted. Me being the person that I am I simply wanted to know what made Scott n White change protocols and everyone needs a id to enter the clinic for appointments. She immediately became agitated and created a hostile environment for me. She was rude disrespectful and completely disregarded my feelings and concerns. She said you came into the clinic in august ma’am I suffer with MANY debilitating medical conditions one being I suffer with memory loss from a benign TBI Compliments of Iraq. I said I DO NOT remember but you’re still not telling me WHY? What made Scott n white say Eveybody must show a id to get into the clinic! Her words verbatim Scott n white is a non profit organization and we can do whatever we want to do! REALLY YOU CAN! I am in disbelief because this was something I didn’t know. Again in my twenty plus years of being a Scott n white patient I have NOT ever been spoken too in this tone so I become upset and irritated. But I know a God who’s more powerful than the rudeness she spread. I said so you’re telling me if Scott n white sends a memo to the employees that you ALL must come to work tomorrow naked or you’ll be fired. She said yes! WHAT in the mighty name of Jesus is she saying to me. Shaking my head again in disbelief. She went on to say we have a right to know who is in our facility I don’t know who you are you maybe a “terrorist” ughhhhh hold up stop the press my antenna says get up and walk out she has crossed one too many lines. Internally I am thinking does she think I am a terrorist or is it because I am black African American! This lady went off the deep end and she had no empathy nor remorse for my concerns. That is NOT patient relations or an advocate for patient people or Scott n white. She has definitely made me second guess every note or speak up policy set by the standard of Scott n white. If this is who Scott n white wants you need to vet your employees better! Now the whole time we’re talking not one time did that other man come in and say hey let’s take a step back and discuss this rationally. The lady talked to me like I was dirt on the bottom of her feet. Before I left I stood up and asked what is your name and what do you do here. She said Amy and I am a patient relations specialist I said under my tongue ummm huh and proceeded to walk out. She said would you like me to get the door for you? I said in my sarcastic tone I wouldn’t won’t you to break a nail with your high paying high class job for a disabled black woman. I walked out and still in disbelief that this is a person who represents Scott n white. She does not need to be in patient relations she needs to be in the unemployment line or retire! I would NOT talk to my dog the way this woman spoke to me. I couldn’t find ANYONE to speak to about her character then I found a house supervisor named Evette who was in just as much disbelief as I was. She assured me I would be contacted. Nobody deserves to be treated the way she treated me.
