3 /5 Amanda Pourtaimour: First off, let me say that Dr. Malik is great and the deduction of stars is in no way a reflection of any medical care my child has received. And usually, the front desk at the general pediatric clinic are great too. I have no clue who checked me in today and why they were the way that they were, but the general way they handled my situation was completely without caring or grace and I felt it should be noted. I did arrive late to my 12 month well visit and that is my fault, but, I was marked as no show as I was in the lobby waiting behind other patients to be checked in. Had the person checking me in cared even in the slightest about the fact that these appointments are extreme hard to get and sometimes people are doing their absolute best, then I guarantee that we would’ve been seen. But, since this was not the case and I seemed to be more of an irritant than anything else - I was told “too bad, so sad” in less words. Grace/empathy and a little bit of courtesy do go a very long way. Anyways, I will not be returning because the front desk is the face of a business - and if the front desk says “I don’t care” then that’s likely the mindset of the rest of the business.
