Sharon Barazani I made an appointment last minute to fix my grown out highlights. They did not match the color AT ALL. I spent $150 for orange hair that looked absolutely terrible. I had to spend a bunch more money at another salon to fix what they did. BEWARE COMING HERE. I tried messaging the salon to see if they would fix my hair, but they never responded to me, which is also not okay. 0 stars.

Amanda Lynn I started by asking around to friends about someone they would recommend for highlights/making my hair lighter, I had done this 7 months prior and loved it. Emily was recommended by a friend of a friend. I quickly sent a text, she responded quickly. I started by showing her what my hair looks like now and then sent a picture of what I would like. I am a blonde hair blue eyed girl who was looking to be iced platinum. I explained that my hair takes very quickly. Emily stated that she does a technique called “babylights”. I proceeded to question this for my desires, the picture I sent her was all one color, no dimension (see attached), and she stated that it was possible with her technique. We made an appointment for 1300 (1PM) Wednesday. At 1200 I received a text from Emily stating that she needed to push me back one hour due to a client being late. I got to the salon at 1350 (1:30pm) I waited in my vehicle until 1440 (2:40pm), when Emily came out to get me. Emily then started to do the “babylights”. About 1.5 hours in she was still on the back of my head and had not started the sides, this made me very nervous, she was using bleach and that bleach had been on my head for going on 2 hours. In the middle of doing my hair Emily asked a colleague to help her fix her clippers, no she was not using, nor going to be using these on my head, this just further delayed competition. After finishing the back of my head she proceeded to take out a few of the bottom foils, she then sprayed that hair down with water. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was rinsing them so that they would stop developing. I had never experienced this before. She then went on to place the foils on the sides of my head, this was not complete until 4.5 hours of sitting in the chair. Once she finished the sides she felt she should take out all of the foils in the back and rinse it completely, we proceeded to the sink. Emily took out the foils, only in the back, and rinsed the hair. We then went back to the chair and she proceeded to add more foils to what I thought were the done sides. I asked her what made her add more and she stated "your hair did not blend well." I then asked if that meant she was going to redo the back, she stated no, so I waited to see what she was going to do. Once Emily finished covering all of my hair on the sides with foiled and bleach I asked what she was going to do with the back, she stated nothing. I responded with, isn’t that going to make it uneven, and she stated no. But wait, didn’t she just say the back didn’t blend, isnt that why she changed her process 4.5 hours in. Now she added more to the front and none to the back, how does this make sense? I then started to feel stressed, anxious, and uncomfortable, not knowing what was going on, but knowing things were not going as planned and she completely kept me out of the loop. 20 minutes went by, so 5 hours at this point, she takes me over to the sink and takes out all of my foils, she then rinses and starts to brush my wet damaged hair. I stated to her that I felt that was breaking my hair more and she said "no it’s wet its expected to have knots." She continued to brush, she then proceeded to put bleach in random spots on my scalp and in my hair. Again, another 20 minutes goes by and she rinses. She then proceeds to add what she called “pre toner” to my hair. From what I could tell she was dying my hair with a 9V, considering I watched her mix it. She said this was not the case. She then asked me what was wrong, because I became quiet. I explained that I was nervous because she change her course after she had completed putting in the foils and only covered the sides with bleach, she left the bleach on for over four hours, she was painting my scalp with bleach, she brushed my wet breaking hair, and now had applied another chemical. Her response was.. Update: the owner of the salon called and attempted to fix everything. The girl agreed to give back $100. The salon is a rent a spot so Im sure there are great people there.

LoLo Z This was my first time going to The Hair Lounge. Danny took care of me along with his assistant Kaylee. They were both very professional, and had a very welcoming and warm attitude. Danny colored, balayaged and trimmed/styled my hair and I have zero complaints. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he absolutely nailed it! My hair is beautiful and feels healthy. Will only be trusting Danny with my hair from here on out! Go to The Hair Lounge for all your hair needs, they will take good care of you!

I had jeannette as my stylist and she was amazing. she did exactly what i wanted. i had dirty blonde/brunette hair before, and I have wanted to go platinum for a long time. Other stylists told me it wasn’t possible without damaging my hair. Jeannette definitely gave me what i was looking for, and my hair still looks very healthy. Prices are a little bit higher here, but it is definitely worth it!

My sister absolutely loves Eddy and is so happy after getting her hair cut, washed, and styled. She can’t wait to come home and show my husband her haircut. Eddy is truly the best. Deepika Moharir One of the worst hair salons I’ve visited in El Paso. I chose this place based on the positive Google reviews, expecting great care for my hair color. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Luz, the stylist, was very unprofessional. She applied the color aggressively, getting it on my ears and even inside them. Despite this, I patiently waited for the process to be completed. She left the color on for an hour before washing it out, but the wash was rushed and harsh. She didn’t bother to clean the dye off my ears or skin, even though it was clearly visible. I specifically mentioned that I didn’t want a blow-dry or styling, but that didn’t mean I wanted to leave with dripping wet hair. She didn’t even take the time to towel-dry properly, leaving me to walk out with water running through my hair. When I got home, I had to rewash my hair myself, only to find dye stains all over my forehead and skin. The entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. To top it off, Luz was rude throughout the process. I couldn’t help but wonder if her behavior was influenced by bias or discrimination based on ethnicity. This was an awful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone.

If you want your hair to look completely different from what you asked for and still get charged the original price for a completely different service DEFINITELY go here. I was forced to pay 300 HUNDRED dollars for what was supposed to be a blonde balayage (We discussed this months in advance and AGAIN as I sat in her chair before she started. showing her PICTURES in both instances) but instead she decided to give me baby highlights and said this was the blonde balayage I asked for. RESPONSE to her comment: shes making it seem like thats the lightest my hair was going to go, the reality of it is. Bleach didnt touch majority of my head. I had to cancel the appointment because she was still being very uncooperative with days and times shed be able to touch it up, knowing my employer. The military is not going to let me off work early for a hair appointment. to read pictures in order, start from the last photo to the very first We agreed that my hair wouldnt be lifted to the shade of bone that I wanted and that it would take multiple appointments. She claims that this is how Id get to the look I desired, many, many sessions of what I had got done that day 300 per session. The black shes referencing to in the photos provided was a black gloss treatment that I got done years prior, I was also fine with the possibility of certain parts of my bleached hair not being the same shade. She understood this. Do you think I got a blonde balayage? Luv was who did my hair, BEWARE

I have to spend more money to fix it or just dye it myself to a solid color. I asked for a balayage top half, bottom half left alone….. something I get all the time and never had an issue. If it coudnt be done should have just told me instead of doing highlights and taking my money.

Bryonna Ochoa Mariana did an amazing job! The weekend before I had my hair done at a different salon for highlights and they turned out way different than expected. I looked online for a new salon and found Mariana and read all of her reviews and before/after photos of her previous clients. I booked an appt and being a new client Mariana was able to fix it!!!!!! I am so happy!!!! She made my hair look like the way I originally wanted from a previous salon. She did amazing and knew exactly what to do to fix my hair. She is very caring and takes excellent care of her clients. If you are ever looking for hair correcting or other services go to her!!!

Isabel Castaneda I feel awful that I spent $148 for something I did not ask for and on top of that the amount of time I spent was in the end wasted. I get so many comments about who did my hair and why it looks the way that it does and where I went. I will not be going back. Garza Virginia (Gina) I was sooo disappointed they messed up my daughters hair. My 8 year old asked for a haircut from a book they have at the salon and her haircut was nothing like it. The woman cut her hair way too short so the style was no where near the requested haircut. I specifically showed the other woman what I wanted done to my 6 year olds hair, but she did whatever she wanted. I asked for it in layers and she failed at what was requested. She also messed up her bangs so bad. People literally ask if my daughter cut her own bangs, because that’s literally what it looks like. I didn’t cause a scene or say anything since there’s no fixing something that was cut too much anyways. I just simply will not return and I don’t recommend this place for kids haircuts

Laura Parker I have had bad experiences in the past, but let me tell you, Lola absolutely amazed me. She not only took her time but, she did a flawless job. She is a perfectionist and it is clear she believes in quality over quantity and that is rare to find. Furthermore, the environment is laid back and the other stylist that was also in there did an amazing job on her clients. She too took her time with each client. I highly recommend this salon.

Dragana Amzirkov My recent experience in this salon was great! I had highlights done before and this time I wanted to cover them and have a little bit darker, even tone. Well, Lola did it, and it turns out to be even better then I thought! If you are searching for a hairstylist that will not ruin your hair, you should give a chance to this salon. Lola listened to what I wanted and was so helpful in explaining the steps and process as well as what upkeep I would be needing. She was incredibly friendly and easy to chat with while in the chair. The environment is welcoming and intimate, clean and friendly. Would highly recommend for haircuts and color!! Will be going back myself!!
