2 /5 Angela M: First, I will say that the staff has been very attentive in our visits thus far. My low ranking centers around the billing. My huband came into Legacy ER shortly before 8:30pm on January 2nd with a bad headache and some nausea. We were too late to hit the urgent care that we have used in the past, so we went to Legacy as their Urgent Care was open until 9pm. Turned out to be a $4k visit for migraine diagnosis as he was upgraded to ER status. The time stamp on the consent for emergency treatment, which was presented as he was vomiting and struggling with headache, was 8:34pm. This was before his triage was completed and prior to seeing the physician. His acuity ranking in the triage was level 5 which is least urgent....yet he was billed out for Level 5 ER...which is for the most serious other than critical care. Again, the staff is friendly and does a good job, but the billing process is questionable...so always take a family member back with you to be eyes and ears. And I have taken up with the contact for the business handling the account prior to posting this.
