North Texas Neurology & Neuropathy: Devanshi Gupta, MD - Allen

Izzy Hatzenbuehler: While I’m sure Dr Gupta is a smart doctor, I was not pleased with her bedside manner. I felt that she cut me off frequently and didn’t want to hear me. She was curt, almost rude at times during the consultation. As I was trying to explain symptoms, she would stop me and say things like, “yes I get the point” or “don’t care about that” when what I was trying to tell her was relevant if she would have just let me get there before shutting me down. Dr Gupta seems to lack basic people skills.

I have been going to her for several years and feel like she genuinely cares about her patients. She does not dismiss any concerns or questions. We got our results back within an hour, even though they were short staffed and didn’t promise results until after lunchtime. Rapid test? This is the place!

I truly felt comfortable coming here as Dr. Kitowski listened to me and understood my problems. The nurse here that took blood sample and flu shot is also amazing, she had me done in just a few minutes and I’ve felt more pain from an ant bite than a needle from here. So happy I chose this practice.

Martha Mendez: Called to get a prescription filled for my 91 year-old mother. The automated system says to call the pharmacy or log into patient portal for refills. The pharmacy said they need a new prescription for the meds before they can be refilled. Logged into the patient portal, and the system said "Unable to login. Please try again at another time." So I called the office and left a message. Thankfully, I am able to be my mothers advocate. How do seniors, some with limited tech skills and no one to advocate for them, navigate this rodeo?

And connect me with other resources. It really blew my mind to tell you the truth. It was a reminder that there are really good caring people out there. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels - New Braunfels

Jo Mendoza: Dr. & Nurses were thorough with checkup at ER. Only complaint is that I was told there were no rooms/beds available. Waited in waiting room & hallway next to an open trash can.. waited a little over 5 hrs. But other patients who arrived after me were given a room. No privacy during consultation with Dr or RN. What happened to HIPAA/PHI? Went to restroom & there were several beds empty. I am a paying customer with health insurance & a job. Do not think I will be returning to this ER again. I hope you dont charge me for a room I was never in/used!!

Erwin Kotara: Dr. Starr has been my doctor for almost three years now. After my back surgery, I struggled to get my pain under control. My surgeon recommended a different pain management doctor, but they werent able to address all my needs. Fortunately, my primary care doctor, Dr. Kellum, referred me to Dr. Starr. I feel incredibly lucky to have found him. There were times I didn’t think I would be able to continue working, let alone travel for my job. Though I still live with pain, Dr. Starr has been able to manage it effectively, and I’ve regained the ability to lead an active, fulfilling life. Thanks to his care, I’m able to work and travel, and I can look forward to growing older with a higher quality of life. His office staff is also amazing—so professional and compassionate. I’m truly grateful for the care I’ve received.

Erik: The doctors here are great. The nurses will not listen to what the parents want. They love telling you your kiddo is doing fine until THE LAST MIN before check out where suddenly its this huge deal and oh wait you have to stay another day. Nurses will not listen to simple requests and get irritated when you want to change very minor things. I cannot express how little faith I have in this hospital going forward. A total and absolute disgrace to the medical community. I would love to speak with someone in charge of the maternity department to express my feelings about our bad experiences with both of my children that were born here. Also, nurses that are 38 weeks pregnant SHOULD not be in charge of patient care when they cant remember basic things like their stethoscope or which room needs which. Completely unacceptable.
