Meghan Henry Had my nails done with Kelly, the owner. They turned out beautifully! Kelly is warm and welcoming and a perfectionist in every sense. She checks throughout the service if you are comfortable, will open the doors if you would like fresh air on a pretty day, or close everything and blast the ac if you are too warm. She also checks to make sure you like your nail color on one nail before proceeding, which is so nice. She checks that you like the length and shape as well. She is genuinely happy to customize your nails exactly how you like. I was able to see some incredible nail art she did for another client - fruit themed nails. They were SO cute and well done. I have found my forever nail salon!

Angela Rivera I love this nail salon! I’ve gotten a dip manicure, pedicure and polygel done here and I’ve left satisfied every time. Ask for Kelly or Nu, these ladies will take good care of you and make sure you leave happy! The prices are the best I’ve seen in this area and they provide yummy beverages like margaritas while you get your service. The picture provided is after 3.5 weeks of polygel done by Kelly and still going strong without any chips or lifting.

Staggolee I came here on a friend’s recommendation after a prior salon did an extremely poor job on my toenails. They fixed the issues and did a great job making my toenails pretty and my feet soft. The ladies were all friendly, and the facilities were nice and clean. I’ll be back!

Nia Wright My first experience with Studio Nails was not a pleasant. I went in for a polish change (feet) and polish for my hands. #1. I had to repeatedly ask for the nail technician to paint the sides of my nails. When I mentioned it to her during the painting of my feet, she kept saying “I know” so I backed of. When she started painting my nails, she left each finger exposed on the sides but I waited until she was putting on the second coat and tried to move over to my right hand. After having to point out that the sides weren’t painted on EACH NAIL, she still didn’t paint the right hand correctly. I was so frustrated. 2. She did a horrible clean up job and left paint on each finger even after using the liquid (acetone?) to “cleanup”. Then it left a clear residue on my fingers which she just left. I looked at the nail oil on her table, hoping she’d understand that I don’t want to walk out like this and she grabbed it...but then put it back and told me we’re done and it’s time to dry my nails. 3. She took me from under the dryer after only four minutes (12:03-12:07PM) claiming they’re dry. I’ve been getting my nails done long enough to know they’re NOT dry. 4. She almost messed up my feet(nails) trying to force on my sandals despite me trying to let her know that the strap in the middle has to be adjusted. She kept ignoring me and then “grunting” because the strap on the back wouldn’t go up and then scolding me for not bending my toes because they’re “touching”. NO DUH!!! I keep telling you the strap in the middle has to be pushed down. I REALLY, really wish she would’ve backed off and just let me wear the paper shoes. It’s always nice to have them put your sandals on, but not this time. I didn’t ask and despite the frustration she wouldn’t let go. 5. I expressed my frustration at the front desk where you pay and I showed her my nails and let her know I don’t have time to get them fixed (house guests would arrive in 30 minutes) but I wasn’t happy. They only offered to fix for free in another day. With this sloppy job I really would’ve expected a discount. This isn’t what I paid for at all. I won’t be back. Not even for a repaint. I’m very disappointed.

For Phone Very rushed from the moment moment walking in the door. Dont give you a moment to choose colors. They seem to be more interested in getting you out rather than providing the service that you pay for.

Tracie Shahid Website hours were not updated to reflect that this place is closed until Wednesday. Had to call once I arrived and saw the door was locked. This would be something minor if I lived in the neighborhood, but I drove an hour away to use a Groupon that I thankfully was able to get credited back.

Do You Naturally I had my nails done on 3/28. Was supposed to be Gel nails. One popped off on 3/30. I came in to have it redone only to realize that I was given acrylic instead of gel nails. Then I had to come back 4/1 to have another one redone. Only to get back home and yet another one popped off. Ive had my nails done for decades and this has never happened. They also said that they had no way to give a receipt. My service was one amount and I was charged another amount when I looked at my bank statement. Certainly wont use the services here again.

Michelle Nichols Love the service here but customers have become so disrespect. It started with one person listening to a show at full volume. Then the woman next to me started listening to a political show which made her views obvious. Then a third woman had a phone conversion on speaker talking about her medical problems. I come to get my nails done while relaxing and this was the most stressful experience ever. I have nothing against the service but would suggest they ask customers to keep their devices silent or use headphones.

Zachary Burton My wife called two days in advance and scheduled a appointment for 5pm on Dec 8th. Went up there for the appointment was told there was no appointment. She was told come back at 6 and we will do it. Ok sweet. She went back in at 6 and they didnt acknowledge her at all or even start so waited almost an hour and watched ppl walk in and get out ahead of her. Y schedule time if it wont be honored then get told come back in an hour and we do that just to sit around for nothing. Will be taking her else where. Thanks for nothing!! Glad to waste our night waiting around for her to get ignored and not get her eyelashes done. Dont try to schedule with them they will just act like it didnt happen.

Karen Espinoza This place is AMAZING. I started coming here because there was truly no where in Austin where I could get a manicure that lasted more than a week without chipping or lifting. My faith in good nail techs was quickly restored thanks to the amazing team here. I’ve had the pleasure of sitting in Emma S., Emma Y., and Julia B’s chair and they are all 10/10. I highly highly recommend! I promise the splurge is worth it.

Brenda Guerra Sophia is truly a miracle worker. I have been going between regular gel and dip for a few years but have always felt my nails to be weak. After going to sophia for a few months now, my nails now feel stronger and look much better! I always get compliments on my nails and recommend her to everyone that asks where to get their nails done. You won’t regret coming to her!

Destini Sophia is an excellent nail technician! She was very clean, patient, gentle and open to all of my requests during the entire appointment. I highly recommend going to her as she will diligently work with you to find something you are satisfied with!

MC S Great birthday celebration in Spa Kalahari. Very professional and friendly people. Great selection of tea with the proper kettle temperature in the relaxation lounge area. I purchased the day spa access since there was no more spot for me. Discounted if after 3pm. It was on a Sunday when we came. I like the showers, quiet Lounge and the hot tub/dry and steam sauna area---you can order drinks in this area. Convenient to have all your orders get paid when you check out. There was a pool outside but I didnt try it out. Lovely time with the ladies. The area is coed but we have separate shower/bath rooms. Parking gets validated as part of the group perks. Recommended

megcho6 I was very disappointed in my experience with my 6 year old daughter. When I called to book our sessions, I added halotherapy since that was the only other thing I could do with my daughter. I also knew that I could only have spa access with a $75 purchase so I added it so that I could change out with my Mother and sister to get the full experience. When I checked in, they sent us to the relaxation room and never gave me a locker. I went back to the front desk to find out what was going on and they sent me back inside saying that they would investigate. They then told me that the person who took my reservation over the phone never added it. They didnt have it available for right after my service but they told me that it would be complimentary if I came back. I then asked about getting a locker and they said they would check but I never heard back before my daughter and I were taken back for her togetherness package and my pedicure. I asked our nail technicians about it and one of them checked and got me a key to the locker. They were really nice and did a wonderful job for my daughter and I. I went to the locker to find out it didnt come with a robe or spa slippers. I was very frustrated. After everything I went to the front desk to apologize if I seemed upset and explained that I was expecting to switch out with my sister and mother so I could get the full spa experience. She apologized and said that doing the halotherapy add on did not count for the minimum of $75 and that I should have been told when I made my reservation. I wasnt told and I was just so frustrated with how my experience was so I just left. I would never come back in future Kalahari visits since I feel like they didnt really care and we were more of an afterthought since we already made our appointment. I did tip our nail technicians well since it wasnt their fault that I received poor services from the front desk and they did an excellent job.

Heather Estrada I had the sweet escape package. Quick tip, the spa doesnt open until 9am and the elevator doesnt open until 8:50am, so no need to get there the 20 minutes early for first appointments. Joy (masseuse) was amazing, the massage was incredible - best I have ever received. The salt treatment was devine. I had a great time in the relaxation and hydro rooms.

Lexi Barber Mostek Overall the nail salon is beautiful and brand new - delightful inside. However they are under staffed and take a VERY long time. The receptionist told me this was my fault after I’d been there 2.5 hours for a mani pedi because I didn’t make an appointment. I think they are understaffed and need to figure that out. People came in with appointments and were waiting 30-40 min. I might come back in a few months but I’ll let them figure out their staffing and routine. Kelly did my nails and did do a great job.

Kelly Taliaferro Beautiful space. Massage chairs are great. The staff are very nice. Beverages are included! Both times I went there was confusion on what I asked for and I was up charged. I asked for regular and was charged for gel. Then gel was done on my hands and not my toes. I went a 2nd time and asked for removal. They did a manicure and charged me $5 more than the listed price on the menu. I was told I needed to clarify with the nail tech but I did make it clear at the counter and to the nail tech. I’m confused by the pricing and handling of discrepancies but I’m sure they’ll make it right for other customers.

They weren’t very kind when enforcing the policy and could careless that I was upset , if they had been more polite I would of been fine with paying but it was the manner in which they handled the situation. The customer service was horrible.

Valerie Barsness I have been coming here for years and have nothing but positive things to say. Their prices are great and reasonable, they are always very welcoming and friendly, and I get a personalized experience every time I go. It’s a very clean salon and they always use new equipment for services. I get pedicures and dipped nails and am always happy with the results. They have all the colors you can imagine for gel and dip nails, and always work in a timely fashion.

Justina Le DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This was absolutely THE WORST EXPERIENCE AND NAIL WORK IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. This was the first time being here and the service was HORRID! Pedicure was ridiculously unprofessional-it looks like my they painted a corrector on my toes. I asked her to redo them but she kept cutting me off. Then I got a new set they’re all uneven and the lady cut me and I was bleeding. She didn’t apologize or show any empathy. I had to ASK for a bandaid!!! I’m so appalled by the lack of professionalism with their work AND humanity’s THEY HAD NO PROBLEM CHARGING MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER FULL PRICE! I know they were ALSO talking bad about people not knowing I know some of the language as my husband is viet. The cut is still hurting now I’m sure I’m going to get an infection!

Charlotte Dewyea Hands down the worst service!!! I am super disappointed. The service was super rushed. My friend and I both asked for the organic pedicure which includes a 20 minute massage and callous removal. I received neither of those services while my friend sitting right next to me did. I also asked for a design and was told the design person was busy. However, the person that came to do my design was sitting behind the counter the whole time. She also received a sns service which was done at the chair while getting her pedicure. The lady did not file underneath the nails therefore she was left with all the residue underneath. They are also inconsistent in color/shape. I asked for gel nails but after my friends services were completed they still had yet to begin my nails. Super disappointed my husband works out of town and this was my first break away from the kids in a month. I was looking forward to being pampered and received the exact opposite. It’s unfortunate that I will be going elsewhere tomorrow to receive the services I was really hoping to receive from this place. I will not be going back to this establishment I advise you to go elsewhere.

Emily Joubert She is so talented! Her acrylic work is so amazing and she really gives you the nail shape and thickness you prefer. I love coffin sleek nails and she totally nailed it! These are over 1 week old because I forgot the fresh picture but they still are great!

Parisiane N I’ve been coming to Golden Nail Lounge for about 5 years, I was looking for service that was more affordable than where I was going at the time. They are affordable and give you two complimentary drinks!! Alice is so amazing, every design I’ve brought to her, she has always did the designs exactly like the picture or better!! The service is amazing, I drive about 30 mins to get to this nail salon and it is definitely worth the drive every time!!

I have been going here for 4 years, basically a month after they opened and I have not gone to another salon since! I moved about 50 minutes away a year ago and STILL travel out to this salon for my nails. ALICE IS MAGICAL! The whole staff is great, welcoming, always making sure everyone is well taken care of. They provide you with complementary drinks, fun upbeat music, GORGEOUS aesthetic with talented, up to date on trends technicians. Their color selection is FAB. They always have specials and go all out for the holidays. I mean, why would you go anywhere else?! I’ve attached some of my fav sets .

Lauren Rohloff I’ve been going to this salon for almost a year now and the quality of each set I walk out with is never the same. In the last month alone, I have gotten THE BEST set of my entire life and also THE WORST set just recently. Aside from the shape/length, I asked for the same thing. I don’t understand how I had the thinnest, perfectly shaped, “clean girl” nails for 4 weeks and walked out of the nail salon yesterday with the thickest, worst shaped nails. This set took 1.5 hours, and I didn’t have time for them to fix it, so I spent an hour last night trying to reshape them. Even though they look a whole lot better reshaped it doesn’t change how THICK these nails are. I have never cried over my nails before but this last set has made me reconsider ever coming back

Angelica R I told myself i was not coming back here but i came back with my friends.. the last few times here i would get a milk and honey pedicure… they rushed through my whole service. they barely cleaned my cuticles and barely scrubbed anything. this time I came and Truly did my pedicure. I asked for the basic but after seeing the way she did my cuticles i asked her if she had time for a milk and honey.. even with a full house and customers waiting she didn’t hesitate to say yes, she upgraded my service and gave me THE pedicure. She asked if I wanted my nails done today i expressed to her my last experience wasn’t pleasant. she asked me to trust her and allow her to dip my nails. I LOVE IT! I felt the manager or the owner kept rushing her but she continued to work her magic. I asked her if she was being rushed, she said no but even if she was she won’t rush. i love it. I love this and I am glad stella has a great nail tech like her. I enjoyed my time this time and will come back to see Truly. I believe MK and Vi did my friends and they loved their services as well.

Katie Conway Vivi is amazing! I highly recommend her for either just a simple manicure or designs she is beyond talented. My mom and I absolutely adore her she is not only talented but so genuinely sweet and caring. Her attention to detail is unmatched and we never leave disappointed.
