4 /5 Meika: 4 stars for the amazing medical team! 2 stars for the two rude front office staff. The other front office staff are kind and are familiar with us. My special needs kid has been coming here since birth. Today is the first time I have ever experienced extremely rude front office clerks...Ruth & Terry...because we were not standing directly by waiting sign (3ft in front of sign)...I was struggling to keep my special needs kid still while we waited for someone to finally look up from her desk while the other young lady was engaged in banter with her neighbor clerk. It was not busy nor was there a line or anyone checking in with both ladies. When asked I said yes maam we are waiting to check in, immediately Ruth demanded me to stand by the sign (even though there was no line & we were standing face to face directly in front of ruths cubicle) within seconds Terry immediately demanded me & my son to come to her window to check in, like a power trip. They both could clearly see me and my nonverbal son, hear me talking to him explaining we are checking in out loud. I addressed Terry about her rudeness and disregard knowing I completely observed what they were doing while we wait for them notice us. Not sure how these ladies are UTMBs forefront at all but the medical team is amazing! I will not go anywhere else for primary care for sure even if Ruth & Terry are negligent towards special needs patients and parents.... Update 1/8/2024...Thanks Amy for reaching out on behalf of UTMB but the clerks "confused" explanation has nothing to do with their rude tone & behavior. They should be kind always in a professional setting whether they are confused, giving directions & be considerate of special needs kids who are non verbal. I have always been polite for 6 yrs of coming here until yesterday. There is no excuse for rude staff.

1 /5 Rae Wysong: The guy at the front desk was nice, the nurse was nice, the dr was rushed, didnt listen to what I told her, was dismissive, pushed for an x-ray when I didnt need one, and didnt give me relevant information about the pain I was having. Complete waste of my time. The only reason I came here was because they are open when I get off, and I dont have a primary care doctor since I recently moved here.

1 /5 Ronald Shaw: The Lab department is the worst department in UTMB..You cannot trust Mychart...useless technology..2nd time this has happened..my mothers cancer treatment has been rescheduled. 2 times Texas City Utmb has said.. no appointment..no doctors order..nothing..sorry we cant draw any blood. The second time was a couple of days ago..Again I called Galveston Oncology dept..They say come here on the morning of the infusion and well draw the blood here. After we left Texas City without blood work..we have an appointment in League City kidney doctor...I ask her to do a urinalysis..she does we leave..This morning we show up like it says on mychart to Galveston to get the blood work before the infusion..I had already set it up 2 days ago.. They cant find doctors orders in Galveston..turns out league city 2 days ago right after tx city could find it, found it and did her blood work there..I thought if tx city cant find it, then no where else but Galveston will do it like last time..No one told me they were running the full screen of tests didnt even know you could do it there.. Absolutely disgusted...Christus Trinity never treated us like this...UTMB ..You need to do better!

5 /5 Carlina Jackson: We have been here several times and it’s always been good. Close to home always available and easy to schedule. Today though was great! My 5 yr old had a regular well visit with Dr. Propst. He did have a student with him (not a problem). He and the nurse, Robyn were so nice and patient with my daughter. They included her in conversation, talked to her , asked her questions and were just genuinely caring ! Let me not forget when we were checking in the ladies at the desk/check-in were also very welcoming and kind even after an older gentleman was being rude. I had to make sure to get their names also! Thank you Elvia and Kari for your happy welcoming attitude so early in the morning!
