3 /5 D: As far as medical care I had a very good experience here for an urgent situation. Once Behind the doors into the emergency facility the Medical staff was professional. I had an ultrasound done so this facility is Equipped to do more than just give you a band-aid. They have actual Medical Doctors on Duty Which I was adamant about seeing at the time not just a physicians assistant or nurse. I would always follow-up with my regular Doctor after any urgent situation. This is a Memorial Herman Hospital facility. I will happily return for medical care in an urgent situation . As far as billing I cant Respond to any of those questions. But as I said this is a Memorial Herman Hospital facility.. Any urgent medical situation is always stressful but I did call ahead to make sure they took medicare coverage at that time and that I could see a Medical Doctor Upon my visit. I was told that they have And MD There All times When it comes to medical care I was happy with the facility.

1 /5 james Doyle: I went to one physical therapy session for 45 minutes last month, just got a bill for $1,400 for just crossing my legs and bending my leg to the right. The charged me for all kinds of crap. In the process of seeing an attorney, I dont like thieves. For your information, my son went for a MRI they informed him it would cost $5,000 they billed his insurance company, which was willing to pay $4,200. He canceled and went to Clear Lake Imaging and did not use his insurance total cost $350.

5 /5 Kaisha Stevenson: Dr. X , suzie, and Lynn are phenomenal. My 4 year old gave me a scare tonight and got a pretty gnarly cut on the back of his arm! I immediately knew to take him in and my boyfriend suggested to come here because they have little wait times; that was very true we got back in a room in the matter of minutes and everyone was so attending to my son. This being not only mine but my son’s first ER visit I was pretty shook up but they were amazing; not only to keep him calm but me as well. So very attentive. Dr. X even let my son keep a piece of the suture and they called the stitches “spider stripes” (my son is obsessed with Spider-Man) I’m so so glad these where the workers on shift tonight they were all amazing with kids 10/10 would recommend especially for those crazy toddler accidents

2 /5 Gary Pavela: Im pleased with the quality of care at Memorial Hermann. Thats why it was so surprising to encounter a desk receptionist on Monday morning October 21 who refused to answer a simple question: "Does the Emergency Room here accept Medicare?" She said it was not "policy" to reveal that information and that I could look it up for myself on the Medicare website. Its hard to imagine an attitude more likely to produce bad feelings. Who has time to do an Internet search in an emergency? So, Medicare patients considering this facility should beware. Until the Medicare question is clearly answered beforehand you could be surprised by an astronomical bill. Many stand-alone Emergency rooms in Texas refuse to accept Medicare because they will then be responsible for higher Medicare standards and inspections. I cant believe Memorial Hermann falls into that deficient category. If not, management needs to better educate desk receptionists and state explicitly on the Convenient Care website that Medicare will be accepted. This should have been done long ago. Its part of a professional ethical commitment to medical cost transparency. P.S. See the reply from Memorial Hermann below. Its bizarre. Instead of giving a simple answer to an important question addressed by other health care providers nationwide ("does your emergency room accept Medicare patients?") Im asked to fill out a form. Please turn off the automated answering machine and provide the basic information your patients need. Readers here can see Im not the only one raising this important issue. The lack of transparency by Memorial Hermann is truly astonishing.

5 /5 Cherie S: Fast, efficient and caring. I showed up for a test that my dr did not mention I need to drink water for. The girl doing my ultrasound found water for me and allowed me to stay to do the imaging instead of having to make another appointment. This is the 2nd time I’ve gone to this facility in the last 3 months and the care has been phenomenal. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes.
