5 /5 William Clark: Had surgery there yesterday (04/01/2024). So this is a breakdown of my visit, surgery, and recovery.
Check in was quick and friendly. I was supposed to be there at 8 to complete paperwork. I was at the waiting room for surgery by 8:13. So it was great.
Surgery: As I said we were at the waiting room for surgery by 8:13, the nurse/tech was out to get me into prep by 8:20. We had just sat down and didnt even have a chance to warm up the seat before I was already getting ready for surgery. I was taken back and prep was quick, efficient and very professional. I have high blood pressure so the nurse was there the entire time, she was chatting and making me laugh to keep my pressure lower. My wife was allowed to come back to sit with me. She was offered something to drink and was given so tips on keeping me comfortable after the surgery. Kudos to the prep staff!!! 10 out of 10. As I was being prepped Dr Launikitis came in to check on how it was going and to make sure I was comfortable. The entire operating room staff also came out to meet me and check on me. The anastesologist was fantastic as well. As he prepped me he sat down and asked me about issues with going under in the past, verified the medication I am on and gave me a breakdown of everything he was going to do and the meds he was going to use. 10 out of 10 for prep and surgery.
Post surgical. Perfect. I was out of surgery and in recovery by 11:00. My wife was brought in to be with me as I woke up. They gave her the breakdown of post surgical procedures and care. They had already called in the pain meds and they were delivered by the pharmacy and were waiting when I was discharged. I was actually able to walk a bit last night and have had very little pain. Did have some nausea but that is due to my issues with medication but did not have the vomiting I have had in the past. I would highly recommend Dr Launikitis over and over again as well as the Crockett Medical Center!
