1 /5 Kayla Worrell: I made the choice to use Hendricks to have my baby despite the bad reviews. I will say the nurses in labor and delivery were amazing. I was also impressed by NICU nurses. However the OB Martin at Hendricks I was super disappointed with. I decided to cancel my induction to wait and see if my baby would come naturally. His nurse or nurse practitioner made me feel like I had made a terrible choice. That I was risking my babyâs health. Scared me to death. Then proceeded to act like there was no more dates to be seen, and who knows when I could get in with them again. Didnât return my calls. Yes letâs scare our patients into induction to fit our very busy schedules and agenda. Then leave them terrified with medical jargon that isnât even 100% backed up with scientific research. Ignore our patients concerns. SUPER PROFESSIONAL.
I consulted with a friend of mine who is a very good midwife on the east coast. He thankfully reassured me this decision was fine. Three days later I delivered a healthy baby girl. Martin refused to come in and deliver the baby. Unprofessional, rude, and condescending attitude is what youâre going to get if you have any kind of opinion that doesnât match his. Youâll also get scolded if you have any sort of setbacks on your appointments. I had had to switch insurances mid pregnancy, therefore some of my tests like my diabetic one came later. I chose to grin and bear some of the comments because I have limited options in the area, and with Medicaid your options are even thinner. I wonât be returning to Hendricks Hospitalâs Ob. I would recommend to steer clear of this place.
