1 /5 Starla Wright: BEWARE! This doctor will speak kindly and softly to you and make you feel like he is taking care of you or your loved one, while the bill is racking up in the hospital, however the compassion ends there. In the even that something goes wrong or your loved one passes away he will drag his feet to complete the required by law duties of being a physician. My mother has been laying in a freezer for 2 weeks because Dr. Dar refuses to sign a death certificate that by law he only has 5 days to sign. When you call his office to check on things they cant tell you anything except the MD isnt there nor is the office manager (really not sure if the office manager has anything to do with an electronic signature on paperwork). This is after this MD was contacted daily by the funeral home for the past 10 days. While I understand things happen and physicians get busy, I feel this MD believes he is above the law and Im certain does not care that I have reported the negligence to the medical board because a $500 fine probably isnt much to a physician. I just want others to be aware that if this is you or your loved ones MD that you can expect the follow through after care has transitioned to death to be less than poor.

1 /5 R L: They weigh you, take you to the room, girl comes in, asks you questions, checks your blood pressure, checks oxygen levels....asks about prescriptions. Then takes off and maybe an hour later you’ll see dr dar for like 3 minutes. Then you go pay, then you leave. Takes forever, so plan for at least 2 full hours here for a 3 minute conversation with the actual dr.

1 /5 Reanne Lujan: Got referred to Dr. Dar 3 months ago & was never seen. There was a lot of going back & forth & staff was not very helpful & rude. Don’t recommend.

5 /5 ShawnDee Davis: I have been under Dr Dars care for my Asthma for almost 22 years, and have always been treated with respect and love by him and his staff. Some of the staff over the years has been short on compassion but Ive learned they never stay too long. I was referred to Dr. Dar by Dr. Raymond Martinez when I was pregnant with my 21yr old daughter. I have no complaints, only praise for Dr. Khavar Dar Thanks for everything, Doc!!!

Mrs V: Although the service was decent, my MRI results were read wrong. Radiologist stated that there were no findings, when in fact I had a cyst as large as my sinus cavity that was causing my dizziness / falling, headaches, facial pain, constant congestion, and more complications with my sleep apnea. I dealt with these symptoms for over a year, even after numerous complaints that the MRI clearly showed something there. It wasnt until an ENT decided to look at the slides after my face clearly showed discontent with his response to my "ghoslty symptoms" that he saw what my neurologist had seen, deciding I had to go into surgery pretty quickly. They also failed to report that I had paid off my debt (which should have been dismissed for having incorrectly misdiagnosed me) to the creditor and have had this on my credit report for longer than it should be. I wont return again if I need radiology done of any kind.

Michelle Acosta: The worst hospital there is and by far the worst experience in my life . My grandma passed away back in January on that day we had a staff member walk in asking us who was taking her home I told her she had passed away . The second time a staff member walked in saying it was time for her medication and I told him medicine for what she passed away he also had no clue . The third time a staff member walked in was to give her , her breakfast and I told her ( now me being upset and irritated ) she’s dead how is she suppose to eat that . None of them had a clue that she had passed away so disrespectful and very very unprofessional especially when a family is mourning the loss of a loved one. Horrible horrible hospital not only that back in December they had send her with the wrong medication. Please don’t take your loved ones here .

Ramo Namzug: I have to agree with recent visitors about the attention one receives when attending this Hospital. Unless your having a stoke, heart related, or bleeding out. The care is very slow in process. The times I’ve brought my parents, the care and attention to what a patient may be going through is horrible. If you attend this facility for care, expect to spend the day there. We arrived at around 11am and and waited for CT Scan results after 5pm. No updates or explanation as to process of what the plan of action is to be expecting. I highly recommend Urgent Care services that provide less waiting results and plan of action. I pay attention to details and observation is key to my reviews, . Another observation was the lack of antibacterial wipe downs to the chairs needed after dismissing an emergency patient for protection of any kind of contamination. Notice the clock on wall, was still waiting. Only the next shift nurses (Evening) wiped down all the chairs and I formed us they were the nurses taking over and followed up with us. This world, some do and most dont practice a positive creed.

Elisa Sierra: My mother was admitted for pain control and possible transverse myelitis. During her stay they discovered 4 fractured vertebrae. They attempted a fast improper discharge. At which point an appeal with Acentra Health who run compliance for Medicare. She was threatened by two different staff members on Saturday that they would not help her or provide her care anymore since they printed out the paperwork. The “case manager” threatened that she would be fully responsible for the bill in the event that appeal is denied which again is a lie. Then today I had to rush over to the hospital because the nurse was again pushing discharge prior to the appeal decision scaring my mom. I informed the nurse Sarys that discharge was not to be discussed until the appeal discussion was made and she pulled attitude and told me she hoped my day got better. Really? Your staff is literally violating CMS guidelines and this is the response? Do better.

Del Sol Medical Center - El Paso

Edward Solomon: Staff was excellent. We arrived on time, processed promptly and entered waiting area. One and one half hours later, was informed that the surgery was running behind. I asked if would be another hour, then two hours, then three hours and……five hours! Absolutely nuts. Asked why they didn’t call us at home, 35 minutes drive from hospital and received no answer. My wife went home and I remained on a gurney for three more hours. Finally taken in to surgery some 6 hours later! Thankfully procedure went well. Sent to a private room several hours later, staff very nice. Next morning waited until 10:00 for breakfast that was not ordered. Next interviewed by all appropriate staff and waited two hours to get hospital doctors orders to leave, finally my nurse helped me dress, remove IV and took me downstairs to process out. Finally left at 12:30.
