1 /5 Anonymous: I am a patient at Denton MHMR and while I was waiting in the lobby, I overheard a nurse talking politics with someone and introduced themself as Marissa or Melissa. The words I overheard were “let all these foreigners…” and while I did not hear the entire conversation, hearing those words made me uncomfortable. I believe it is truly unprofessional to be discussing politics in the workplace and considering that the people that work there must follow HIPPA regulations. I ask that someone please talk the nurse about it and let her know that this is not okay.

1 /5 Carter Bransom: This place is awful, I just had to take a day off work to see my doctor and finally get on medications as I recently got diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and come to find out my case manager gave me the wrong appointment time so I ended up missing it and the only other appointment times they have for me is TWO MONTHS from now, yall seriously expect me to go unmedicated and wait for THAT LONG when it’s EXTREMELY clear how badly this is effecting my life and ability to work? I need medication NOW and all I have gotten so far is wasted time, you all should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves

1 /5 Samuel Blair: You will wait two-3 hours if you arrive on time for an appointment. They will not give you enough medication till your next appointment and thus youre forced to use their awful voice message system where the operator has the most monotone quieted slow voice ever, if you were in a crisis or needed your medication stat this would be the biggest barrier next to no one ever being on the line at all. The 2-3 hour wait is egregious enough waste of peoples time.

1 /5 Cynthia Burch: Update: I went early yesterday morning in person the day after Christmas to make a formal complaint against her. Thats how stressed she had me. She literally ruined my whole holiday by adding unnecessary stress. The complaint officer was not too happy from what I had to say about Reena Sebastian. She’s not even a doctor like she claimed she was. This wack job was just a nurse practitioner. I don’t think she even had any business doing my physc evaluation. Be careful who they assign you here and look everyone up. Someone of the people they hire might be worse off than you. ///:;;;;:::::So I had a physc evual I had to get done. Previously I had an issue with Reena Sebastion for aggressively pushing meds on me. I had made it clear I never wanted to see her again. Was on stand by and she magically did my phsc evual. She was aggressive bullied me into getting a prescription by threating to add things I didn’t want shown and wouldn’t fully complete it until I came to my next appointment. She was very assuming and demanding to violate my hippa right because I didn’t want to take the medication. She kept telling me I’m never going to be able to function unless I take the medication. Which simply isn’t true. It is my right as a patient to refuse treatment or medication. Instead of taking about the inncident that occurred and how I felt about it she bullied me by telling me how mentally ill I and that I have an eating disorder and body dismorphia. Kept bring up past traumatic events that where making me upset and kept telling me how messed up I am. Instead of adding a positive update she kept trying to put that I was still violent towards others when I kept telling her that wasn’t the case. She also had me wait in that overcrowded lobby which I have social anxiety and do not do well in large crowds for over an hour. It is in my notes I’m supposed to wait in the car and they call me when I’m next. She didn’t update my weight or even try to bring up recent events with me that I was trying to explain that I have changed. Instead kept saying how crazy i was and I better take the medication or I will never get better. If you ask me she needs it more than I do she has no respect for boundaries and is unprofessional. She literally ruined my holiday by adding this stress into life. Like I’m not under enough already.

1 /5 Charming Force: This place is the absolute worst. I never received the help I needed from them in Over a year in their “care”. They dangle hope in front of you so that they can experiment on you. I’ve had them refuse to prescribe the one medication that actually works in favor of a dozen that did not and actually made my condition much worse, causing me to experience a plethora of side- effects including but not limited to increased suicidal tendencies, heart problems where I previously had none, sleep problems where I previously had none, and a brand new nicotine addiction due to clinical negligence (refusing to properly treat a previously existing and professionally treated anxiety disorder)! I was verbally and physically assaulted by another patient while trying to receive care during an emergency visit, and constantly harassed via phone when I felt suicidal. Yeah, some of the staff are nice but it doesn’t make up for the head and money games they play (did I mention I was dealing with homelessness at the time?) The caseworker turnover rate is so high- they never returned my calls and I was assigned a new one so rapidly I could never obtain the counseling I need (waitlisted for a year) or any other special services they supposedly offer the public. I have contacted their “rights officer” but nothing was ever done about any of these issues. I am thoroughly convinced that this facility is designed to experiment on the indigent and feeble- the ones who need the most help and have the least ability to defend themselves. Now that I’ve worked my tail off to right my own situation with a full time job and insurance they want $100 a month PLUS medication copays to be mistreated, neglected and denied the medication I actually need to survive day to day? NO THANK YOU MHMR! You won’t bill my insurance for 1 red cent! Time to find a REAL DOCTOR. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!! SHAME ON THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS PLACE!
