1 /5 Marie Tirado: Incompetent insurance handling.
Worth the read unless youre filthy rich and like to loan your money to an Endoscopy Center interest free.
I suggest you find a location that knows how to address medical insurance.
I booked my appointment, did the colonoscopy prep - what fun!
Arrived for my procedure only to be told my appointment was cancelled because Lonestar Endoscopy Flower Mound did not accept my insurance, um, I am insured with BCBS, you know, the one thats on the Lonestar web site as Insurance they accept.
I called BCBS Customer Service and had them speak with Lonestar Endoscopy, the representative explained that I was fully covered for this preventative procedure and that Lonestar Endoscopy WAS on the approved list as the procedure location as well as my doctor.
Lonestar Endoscopy forced me to put almost $2,000.00 on my credit card to pay for the procedure or they wouldnt "fit me in"
Well, that was back on June, 11, 2024....
Low and behold! Lonestar Endoscopy somehow BILLED MY INSURANCE for the procedure, after I ALREADY PAID FOR THE PROCEDURE!
Hmmm, pay by cash or credit card or go through the prep for the procedure again.
Lonestar Endoscopy was fully reimbursed by BCBS on or about July 24, 2024. So, now theyve been paid TWICE for the same procedure.
Ive made many calls to inquire about my refund, they keep saying its being processed again and again.
Ive been dealing with this run around since June 11, 2024.
Today is September 9, 2024 itll be 12 weeks soon.
Lonestar still has my money.
Why on earth bill my insurance that you said you dont recognize because you are out of network, when you are NOT out of network
12 weeks of calls, inquiries, fighting with my insurance when in fact they paid Lonestar after I paid, wheres my money, wheres my interest charged to my credit card?
