04-2025 Bernard D. Morris, Jr., MD in Best 8 MEDICAL SERVICES near Burnet, TX (Part 2)Abilene Community Health Center - Abilene James Mortimer: Ive been going to this office for a little over 2 yrs. And I have to say it has completely turned to **** the Drs are great but the whole front office is horrible they r extremely rude and disrespectful. Since theyve hired these new women to work the front they seem like they have no idea what they are doing. This is the only place where when I go in I have to fill the same paperwork for my insurance when my insurance hasnt changed. The women at the front said it needs to be updated every 6 months, so I said well I was just in last month and I was told with attitude well we still need it so I did it and then the next time I go in 2 months later they tell me I need to fill the same paperwork out again so I asked I thought you needed to update it every 6 months and I said well this is the 2nd time in 3 months and I was told "just fill out the paperwork" I have never been to any Drs office with such disrespectful people in my life and they r lucky they dont work for me!!
Lockhart Family Medicine - lockhart - Lockhart Sandra Kage: The only reason for the three-star is because Dr. Wheeler herself actually seems like she is a good dr and every time I see her in person she is very thorough and pleasant. If Dr. Wheeler could have several more people like the office administrator, I don’t think there would be a single negative review for this office.
That being said, everything else with this office has been lackluster at best. Even with an appointment, I have arrived 15 minutes early every time and still wait in the waiting for at least 30 minutes to an hour past my actual appointment time. One of the receptionists is the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered in a doctor’s office. How she still has a job is quite literally a mystery to me. I will call in to schedule an appointment, when the Dr herself messaged me to make an appointment and also after an er visit, and she informs me that there are no appointments available until December (or several months out from the time of the message/incident). I sure hope that one day when she faces a medical issue, she is not met with someone like herself because karma can really serve a person a dose of their own medicine. There is a stark difference between one of the receptionists pleasance and professionalism and the cold indifference and unprofessionalism of the receptionist I’m speaking of. I’m am sure anyone who has visited this office could distinguish between the two fairly easily. The doctor’s medical assistant quite literally has never called me back any of the numerous times messages have been left for her or when she advises herself that she will call back with referral information. The office’s nurse will not help you if you’ve already reached out and left a message for the medical assistant as you were instructed to do because “don’t want too many hands in the fire” even when you tell her that the medical assistant has not called back and likely will not call back anyways.
All I can say is, if you only need a doctor’s office for an annual checkup that requires no follow up AND you never get sick, then sure, this office might work for you. But, if you have any other type of situation, I think you would be better suited to find an office that actually cares about you and your family as patients. I just don’t understand how a provider this good settles for office staff like she has. It’s unfortunate.
Abilene Family Medical Associates - Abilene Anissa Thomas: I’ve taken my kids to an embarrassing amount of doctors. Dr. Duke and the staff, Brandy, is who I mostly dealt with.. since calling the office have given no less then 100%. The staff was so kind and helpful, Dr Duke was immediately on the same page as us and very understanding. The way they exceeded my expectations and my husband surprisingly loved this office as well. I would give 10 stars if able.
Hendrick Health - Abilene Honduras Traveler: I have strong reasons to believe this hospital is double charging its patients.
A while back I got sent to get a holter monitor in me. It tooks 5 minutes and then they told me to not even return it to the hospital, they instead told me to ship it to some address in another state. That company then analyzed the results and sent the report back and charged for their services which we paid.
Then, the hospital had the gall to charge us for the same services and billed it to my insurance with the most generic comments on the bill. When I called and complained they told me their analysis was with my health records and I had to pick them up in person. I went in person to see what analysis they had done to charge for their services and all I found in my health records was the same one the out is state company had charged me for.
So yes, really, this hospital just decided to bill me for services they did not perform. It was clear to me that after complaining they wouldn’t withdraw the in my opinion fraudulent bill and they would probably send it to collections. Because I’m an honest citizen I was forced to pay due to avoid this outcome. I felt used and scammed.
Nova Medical Centers - abilene - Abilene Max Jeanson: Fricken joke. Im here for a piss test for a company, I walk in and hand them my DL (which they take a copy of) then I have to write down my cell number. Then they send me a stupid link to fill out a form, I ended up filling in the information I already gave them, whats the point of them taking my DL. I HATE online garbage, then my signature "wasnt accepted", its my sig. Absolutely infuriating.
The staff members are okay, but Emily really helped with my frustration and was patient with me, explained a few things and stuff just made a bit more sense. Still unsatisfied with the whole digital stuff.
Premier Womens Healthcare of Abilene, PLLC - Abilene Cat Dobbs: I do not know what these office people do all day. I can never get them to fulfill my prescriptions. It’s why I stopped taking birth control (because I had to play phone tag for a week with the pharmacy and the Drs office so I was already off of the meds & just decided to stop taking it since the pharmacy literally never had the script ready). I thought in the two years I stopped going they’d have it figured out. I know someone else who stopped going here because the office is terribly run. Erin Garner is a great doctor. Idk what the rest of her staff does though
