Breana Henderson I needed new brake pads and rotors, and have been overcharged before, so I did some research before coming here after leaving another shop earlier today. I felt bad for coming during lunch time, but I could never tell if I inconvenienced anyone because they were so nice and attentive to what I needed. Chris helped me today and he was the best! I got what I needed to be fixed and he showed me some other things that needed attention. I did not feel like he was trying to over sell me on anything. He was amazing and I felt comfortable talking to him. The prices are also very reasonable! If I need any more work done Im definitely coming here, and will be sending my friend here to get her brakes done as well. Thanks for the great and quick service!

Rochelle Stacker I received the best service, Chris was able to explain what was needed when l came in to get an oil change. My brake fluid was filthy and my engine air filter was filthy as well. He showed me the amount out filth that was billed up and was able to offer a discount. I have found a Néw neighborhood friend automotive repair company. Punkie TheGreat They definitely know what theyre doing. It has taken me time to find a genuine place that isnt trying to scam me. They are just trying to fix vehicles. Last year I went to fix three different things, and Im back today to get my baby checked out again. My van is very important to my family and I, so being able to find a place where quality meets genuine work, is fantastic! They give free diagnosis, and will print off the work for you and explain in detail whats most important to least important for your car. They dont try to up-sell you for anything either. Something I can appreciate.

I took my car there because it kept dying on the road.They told me that my car wasnt worth fixing because there were metal flakes in my oil and my motor was going out. When I went to pick up my car it was also drained of gas for no reason and the explanation was that it was parked up a hill ????? I took my car to BRAKES PLUS in McKinney off 380 and they had my car up and running the next day. They replaced O2 sensor wiring and even showed me the old parts. My motor is in good shape and my car runs great.

I finished my errands and picked up my car 2 hours after drop off and it was ready. They gave me a read out of what they fixed. I would have to say that the whole team is fast and efficient along with friendly.

Melanie Bruno Brought a car here for a pre-purchase inspection. The team here was so thorough, giving me a package of information including details and pictures of all the components of the car, and they walked me through all of my concerns. It not only made me feel confident about purchasing the car, but I brought the report back to the dealership and showed them the 2k in urgent work that needed to be done and was able to negotiate with them to get the work done before purchase! The waiting room was also very comfortable. I was in there for 90 minutes with a 3-year-old, but they had a kids area with toys and some snacks/drinks and we had no trouble at all!

Even though it is company policy not to remove the diagnostic cost even if you’re getting repairs done there, they worked with me to help me find coupons and other ways of reducing my overall charge. Etta Ross So friendly and so fast! I called that day for an emissions test because my registration was going to expire. He got me in within the hour and had it done in 15 min. I might have caught them on a slow day, but I would go back because the customer service was so great!

After a recommendation from a friend, I have to say even living 30 minutes away, I wont be bringing my truck anywhere else. The staff here is friendly, genuine and gets the work done. Pricing is great and service was quick. Glad there are still honest mechanics out there and people that take pride in their work.

Harry Robinson I had Chris replace a timing belt in an older Toyota Tundra. It was a huge job, to me anyway. Chris arrived on time, kept me updated throughout the process. I am very happy with the service I received. Chris really goes out of his way to provide a good experience.

bob spano I was there 6/3 about my 2011 F150. I went in to talk about my AC. A few different issues. One of the topics were my fan speed. It was blowing about 33%. The indicator showed I can change it but nothing happened. Alex showed me where & why this may be happening. He said it was the blower motor resister. Well sure enough he was right! I had replaced it with an OEM part. Could of got it from Amazon for like $25 but for a 90 warranty, nope. Got motorcraft 2 year warranty. Worth the extra money. Alex was great, vey informative, friendly, just a good person all around. I defiantly would recommend them. Ill be using them. Thank you!

naeim sani I took my dad’s car to this place to the alignment and explained to them that I replaced the front suspension and that’s why I need the alignment. I chose this place for two reasons, 1 on Google they have good review. 2 it is super close to my house so I didn’t have to drive the car with bad alignment to a further shop. They charge me $152 (after tax) and when we came back home from our family vacation about week later and start driving the car I noticed we still have the same exact issues. Initially when I talked to the technician at the front desk (Todd) he mentioned they have warranty for this job and their workmanship. So when I went back to shop they told me they don’t have any warranty. I called another location and they said they do have warranty and they should have honored that. Very disappointing and it really hurts that they take advantage of people like that. Additionally I am a certified aircraft mechanic and inspector who has A&P license and FAA authorization for repairs and inspections. So working on the cars is super easy for me and I replaced the parts to specifications that is provided by Toyota on that car. I just wanted to say that so Christian Brothers don’t reply to me and say I installed the parts wrong prior to alignment which they could tell me at the time of alignment. Also please don’t fall for them and situations like me. Plus some of the services they provide has a high amounts for example charging you for arms and legs to change air cabin filter (image attached)

Pete Larson Great shop, my daughter is a student at UTD and is all alone in Plano. She had some car issues and having heard how great of a shop Fifth Gear is she set an appointment. Their drop off location is super convenient for her. Once they inspected the vehicle they were able to send me pictures and videos so I could understand and make an educated decision on what to do. Jake was very helpful and worked with me to make sure she was safe and how to proceed repairing the vehicle.
