Juan E Davila Its a local tire shop. Reminds me of the local vulcanizadora in matamoros from my childhood. These folks are some of the most humble people you will meet. Hard working and simple living. I am always treated with kindness and respect.

Oswald Romero Spot was busy but gentleman was able to get the tire patch done and get me back on the road quick.

Roberto Garcia I’ve been a customer for over 10 years, but unfortunately, that ends today. My wife recently brought our car in for a routine alignment, and not only did they claim she needed a $600+ kit, but they also did a terrible job on the alignment itself—yet still charged her over $200. Frustrated, I took the vehicle to the dealership, where they charged $150 to fix everything, and guess what? No kit was needed. The car drives perfectly now. This experience has left me extremely disappointed, and I can no longer trust this business.

Ignacio B Got new brakes installed, had to return it twice due to malfunctioning brakes. Two weeks later, the entire caliper fell off as I drove on the highway. They failed to tighten the bolts of the calipers causing it to fall, luckily the caliper got stuck in the wheel and the brake line didnt break.

Emmanuel Galvan Super fast, was not ready to go to pick up my car the very next day. At a great price he got my 15 yeard old car driving like new! Super honest too, i told him i thought there was a problem with the transmission after we picked it up, he said it was another part that he changed and it fixed it. so we didnt need to spend on the transmission.

Sub Zero I look my suv there for a/c work. Owner told me that it was gonna be $300 for everything. He called me 2 hours later that it was ready. When I showed up he explained that once he started working on it it only needed a new relay and replacement of some o rings on the condenser. And a recharge on the coolant. He charged me $75 for everything. He is honest and I will take everything to him for now on. Good work.

Erika Flores Excellent service! A/C on my car stopped working on a very hot day I called the shop they took my car in the same day and gave me a FREE a/c diagnostic on the problem. I thought I wasn’t going to be able to afford the repair at the time but the price was very reasonable and they even offer financing. My car was ready very quickly.

Chris J Fantastic place for automotive services. My brother in law had a flat tire at a restaurant around the corner from their store. One of the mechanics came over and took the tire off the car, took it to his shop, and fixed it! Great customer service and a job well done!

Nina Kovars If you live in Brownsville and haven’t used Pena Auto Service you should. Mr. Pena replaced my camshaft and crankshaft sensors in a very short amount of time. He was super fair on parts cost and labor cost. He was upfront and honest. I will take my truck to Pena Auto Service again. I had to have a ride pick me up and bring me back since I’m located in Los Fresnos. It was worth it. Thank you

Mario Sandoval This shop does auto body and paint. Took my 2023 gmc sierra for a small dent on passenger door. Came out great and only took about a day and half. Highly recommended this shop for auto body work.

Noemi Bolado They were very helpful and fast, we went in for a car inspection because everywhere else it seemed to be packed. We were in and out in less than 10 min, I think what took longest was the printer to print the paper… they were super fast.

DA E (Chrono) At the suggestion of another shop nearby i went over and explained the situation to them and despite being busy they did excellent work over the next few hours about 2 due to cars ahead of me and never forgot me! They showed me the damage and showed me receipts and got copies!

FitQuest70 I don’t usually post reviews for anything other than Anytime Fitness gyms, but Rick’s Auto Shop in Brownsville, Texas, deserves a huge shoutout—it’s been a total blessing on my quest journey from Sacramento to Texas! Right away, Rick took my car for a test drive, hooked it up to the diagnostics machine, and laid out the good and bad news with complete honesty. The good? He pinpointed the issue in the exhaust system or catalytic converter. The bad? His shop doesn’t handle muffler work, but he recommended Three Stars Mufflers, which got me in and out with a new catalytic converter at a reasonable price—review for them coming next! Rick’s straightforward approach and friendly vibe made all the difference; we even had a great chat about California versus Texas and the wild differences between them. This whole town has been so welcoming, and while I’m back on the road today after catching Starship flight number nine yesterday, I’m already looking forward to returning for more launches!
