Carrie Shamblin Dr Melde is an excellent physician her nurses are amazing. This review is specifically for Chris Wilkins who was disrespectful of my privacy and my time. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and she made the choice to NOT allow me to be checked in because I refused to discuss my financial issues publicly in the waiting room. She threatened to not let me see my physician of choice because she is the office manager and I dared to ask for respect for my time and as a human being. She admitted they do not have a HIPPA protected area and continued to discuss private and personal information across the waiting room. I am currently waiting to hopefully see my physician for serious medical issues unsure if she will let let me be seen or if I will be forced to suffer my medical issues without the medication I need to survive.

Meredith Harris Ive had nothing but great experiences here. (Well, as great of an experience as you can have when youre sick). Dr. Moore is very kind and thorough. Nurse Heather (NP) is super easy to talk to. And Miss Amy will greet you with a friendly smile when you walk in. No one likes going to the doctor, but I feel so at ease with the people at this office.

Carmen Gamez First, poor service from the receptionist who doesnt even turn to look at who is asking something or who needs one, someone arrives without an appointment, unfortunately they never answer the phone there and asks if they can help him like that at 2:30 in the afternoon and they say no more They can because they finish before 4 and they only had the last appointments booked and they point me to 2 children who to make matters worse were only 2 and in more than an hour and a half to attend to only them that is too much. They are lazy to do their job and giving vaccines is not a big deal. The health department should clean up so many lazy employees who spend their time talking and wasting time instead of doing their job more effectively. It is supposed to be preventive. They should work on prevention and find a way to make it more effective.

Osvaldo Vazquez walked on the ER at 6:54PM with my 67 year old mother with history of breast cancer with a complaint for shortness of breath. 4 hours later the waiting room emptied and filled 3X and very noticeably people that were not Hispanic came and went and my mother still struggling with shortness of breath kept being told “you are #2 so don’t go; you should be next”. Many people Came and went. It really speaks to patients when you see someone come in through the doors, they sit for vitals, and 5 minutes later they get called in while you been waiting for hours. It happened often until we decided to just go ahead and go elsewhere that will follow a triage protocol based on medical emergencies and not on DEI/look like me type of protocol. As we were walking out we got called. Dr saw her and said: Tylenol/Motrin after the only “exam” they did was look in her throat. Nothing else. JPS is the only place that will make you feel that the color of your skin/DEI will actually get you seen faster.

Kris Jennings I don’t see how there could be any more amazing workers in the American work force than these nurses.

Zachariah Spencer The doctors and nurse practitioners have all been caring, kind, and mostly helpful. When I only had annual checkups to worry about there was never an issue. Recently I have had some more complex medical concerns that required third party imaging and follow ups and a regular communication with my doctor. This is impossible with this office as other reviews have echoed here. They have no way to reach the office and all calls are routed to an external call center line where I have had very few good experiences. The call center folk are impatient, impersonal, transactional, and at times they seem to be intentionally unhelpful just to rush you off the line. The best they can do even if they (on rare occasion) want to help you is leave a message for the doctor and ask them to call you back which understandably your results may vary there. I’ve been hung up on for simply trying to understand and ask questions about this system and I’ve been spoken down to for asking if there was any way I could speak to my doctor directly. I barely ever write reviews but this is one of the most flawed relationship management systems I’ve ever seen at any business of any kind.

Cameron Thompson This complaint is strictly in regards to security officer Dunn. This employee lacks compassion and care in regards to families that have just lost a loved one. Thankful for the nurses and managers to advocate for our family, but Officer Dunn has no concern or regard of the circumstances for families based on his interactions that were completely unnecessary, disrespectful, and does not fulfill the mission and heart of the hospital. I hope that he receives appropriate training to better serve the community otherwise he poses as a deficit to your hospital system.

Byron Rose If I could put zero stars I would. We walked into this hospital with our 2 year old son that was having trouble breathing. They took us back to a room and the Doctor came in and said I have some bad new. "Do you think you are at Cooks childrens Hospital" We said "Yes". He laughed we laughed a little. Then went over to Cooks childrens hospital. Now I have a bill for twice at much at Texas Health Resources than at Cooks childrens Hospital. I called their customer service to dispute the charges since they already made money off our insurance. I didnt understand why they wanted to make money off of me for not providing any service. The customer service representative would not provide me with the form dispute paper work because he said we saw the doctor. I asked around and found out this is happening a lot. The front desk administrators and bill admin know this and keep ripping off the public. They wait until you are in the room so they can charge you with a visit to the ER by seeing the doctor. Not funny. This is cruel and mean and spiteful business practice. I will file the proper paper work through the State and have the disputed charges removed but I am just saddened by the fact they know they have an issue and keep charging customer, children, and families charges so they can make a few more bucks.

Denise Gage Dr. Citrons NP Gail Smith was very attentive to my issue; however, the USMD system is awful! In order to call with a concern or get an appointment you have to go through their main call center. Then if you are lucky, you will be transferred to your doctor office. When a referral is made is remains in their system and is not scheduled for 24-48 hours despite the reason. For my dad, it wasnt scheduled at all. The call center said 24-48 hours to get approval but it had been three days. When she checked she saw no authorization was necessary so scheduled it 3 weeks out! This was for an urgent care situation. Once again the call center person determined whether it was urgent rather than assuming the PCP referral indicated that. The CT referral did not show up in their system and was scheduled a week out from when it was ordered. Overall, a very frustrating experience!

Haley Carter Misrepresented and misleading. They ONLY see healthy people, per the person who answers phones. Kind of defeats the need for them as a medical clinic. Unless you are a cosmetic surgeon or in research, you may have to see a sick person as a doctor.
