Lisa Moehle williamson Avian is the only stylist I will let do my hair. I discovered Avian over 20 yrs ago. I recently had to move to Austin, I will still travel the distance to have such a caring professional color, cut and style my hair. Avian is my blessing!!

Leisa Luis-Grill I moved here recently from another state. I had the same wonderful stylist for the last twenty years, so I was nervous about starting over with a new stylist. Though the location is unassuming (wedged between a Bail Bonds office and a Deer Processing business), dont let that deter you. I was amazingly pleased with the cut and color I received, and I got compliments from my girlfriends for weeks! I referred a good friend, and she is equally happy. My stylist, Cassidy, is a young woman who listens to what I want and gives great advice on what may or may not work best for me. The color looks extremely natural and covers the grey well. I love the springy, stylish cut she chose, which makes me look and feel younger. Eyebrow grooming is extra but worth it. This salon also has a boutique attached featuring reasonably priced clothing, jewelry, and hair products. I never leave without something cute to brighten my week.

Kasey Bandeaux I had a spur of the moment haircut, and they were so accommodating to get me in the same day. The service was great and I will definitely be back again. I believe my stylist was Sandra, and she did a beautiful job on my hair that desperately needed a cut.

Kori Schlitt I was here for the week with my husband on our honeymoon. I had been wanting to chop off my hair after the wedding and decided this was a good time to do it. I called and made an appointment and got Alex as my stylist. She was so sweet and very easy to talk to and gave me lots of suggestions for places to try. Michelle Ashford This was the coolest place to get a no frills hair cut and style. The building was once the family home of the owner retro fitted into a salon. You get the best most open feeling from the moment you arrive. My stylist Judy did a great job. She asked questions to make sure she understood what I wanted then washed and cut my hair. There was no product up sale and the products on hand where things I could easily acquire. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back.

Stand up bed, new bulbs, and different level beds. She sells lotions and offered to order lotions that I would prefer (more organic, low/no scent). 20% off your first lotion for new customers. Also sells boutique clothing, jewelry, etc. I heard about this place from a friend. Glad I checked it out.

Stephanie Hines I was reluctant to try a new salon but after four years of not finding a stylist I liked anywhere in the Texas Hill Country I took the chance and called The Mane Place. A lady named Megan returned my call quickly and was able to get me in the following week. I am so happy to say I found Megan to be excellent. She was very sweet and professional. She looked at a picture I had brought to her. I was pleasantly surprised that she had given me the best haircut I had received since I moved here. Kudos to Megan. I messed up my hair and thought there was no fixing it without several appointments and of course hundreds and hundreds of dollars and damaging my hair. Melanie Murphy Laina did my wedding hair one month ago and people are STILL telling me how amazing it looked! I got a flowery hair clip with various loose straw flowers to be put in my hair. Laina went above and beyond by hot gluing twisty clips to each tiny loose flower so they would stick in my hair, AND she took it upon herself to elevate it even more by getting pearl twisty clips that matched perfectly. Not to mention all the extensions advice she gave to a noob like me. After the wedding, I was looking at people’s photos and videos and I kept saying to myself, “My hair looks SO GOOD!” THANK YOU A MILLION, LAINA!!! You are so kind and talented!

Virginia L. So glad I found this place. I moved to Kerrville from Houston seven years ago and must’ve gone to at least a dozen hairdressers. Finally decided to try someone in Fredericksburg and found Laratta’s Hair Haus. The owner was who I wanted to cut my hair, but she informed me that they had a person with curly hair that was an expert and cutting curly hair because it needs to be cut differently. Jolee. Is the first person who has cut my naturally curly hair correctly in over a decade She’s always conservative and does a good job consulting with you and I’ve been happy every time My hair is cut and it needed to be corrected a lot and she’s done such a good job. It’s a very nice as well, good atmosphere, friendly people and nice location. I do not mind driving 45 minutes every 6 to 8 weeks because it is always worth it

DazedOnTwitch Terrible haircut. I asked to keep the top and she cut it all the way down. Terrible place, terrible business. DONT GO HERE. You act like you can fix hair that you’ve already cut off. Also, are you dyslexic? It seems like you can’t spell very well. Trying to fix that haircut would he like trying to fix your marriage. It’s impossible.

Chris Clements Pretty short wait to get my hair cut. They were quick and made sure I was good with the hair cut. Very friendly, obvious regular customers were there as well, versus my first time in there. They operate on a first come, first served basis. Definitely recommend if you need a haircut.

Noel Stevens Being the day before Thanksgiving it was swamped. I waited 45 minutes BUT, it was soooooo worth it!!!! Jason is a MASTER stylist. I have not had a cut like this in 40 years. I never thought I would find anyone else again who could cut like this. I am lucky!!! Two in a lifetime is unbelievable. You should never let him go!!!

Winkles Terry (The Roaming Dad) We were traveling through the area and my son needed a haircut so we stopped in. They were able to get him in quickly and did a thorough job with the cut. My issue here is that the stylists had their dogs in the salon with some laying on counters and chairs. This is a personal care facility and dogs should be left at home. Some, like my son, have allergies to dogs and those with more severe allergies could be seriously affected. There isn’t even a sign at the entrance warning if this.

Sherry Weber 10 Stars! Needless to say, I was a bit apprehensive in trusting a stylist inside of a Walmart shopping center. I am 70 years old and a lifelong highlighted blonde. My expectations were high, and I was on a shoestring budget. Carol not only fit me into her busy holiday schedule, but she was also patient, considerate of my feelings, wishes and fears and was brave enough to give me her honest opinion and not just what I wanted or needed to hear. Her professionalism and years of experience was fully apparent and much appreciated. Not only did she give me her “bests” she sent me home with new shampoos and hair treatments to help my aging hair stay healthy longer. I am truly blessed to have found Miss Carol. I plan on using her services as long as am capable of driving to see her. She is amazing and an absolute “God send”. 10 stars! Thanks, Miss Carol! Job well done!

My Pedi package was the Dead Sea Spa. 15min leg massage, hot stones, and paraffin. With shellac. $85 Jay did an excellent job. You get what you pay for. It was so relaxing. They even had HGTV playing in the big screen TV. It was bliss.

Eric Guthrie Very busy location, so definitely suggest making an appointment. We got his and hers pedicures with hot stone massage, paraffin wax etc. They were very clean and offered drinks (including adult beverages) and very friendly. Priced within the typical range.

Kristen Piña I tried to book an appointment here. I emailed and called and neither communication was returned. I later realized my appointment request date is on a day that they’re closed, but to not even return a call or email just speaks volumes about a business to me. Not a very welcoming vibe or appreciation for possible business.
