1 /5 melinda perez: I just stopped into to pickup a beautiful new "charm" for my aunts birthday gift. When I saw the shining heart charm in the catalog that came to my home I knew I had to purchase it for her. Unfortunately Im not feeling well today but today is the day we will see my aunt so Ive used all my energy to make sure and make the trip into James Avery for the perfect gift. Today like always we were greated upon entering (which is lovely and welcoming). Unfortunately I made the mistake of answering Adela when she asked if she could help us. I usually walk around and look at everything just incase I need to add to my purchase however, today being that im not feeling well I needed to get in and out so I answered her by saying "yes, Im looking for the Shining heart pendant. "she looked puzzled so I I added" its a gold heart with rays coming out surrounding it." She walked around a coworker tried to help showing us "charm" that was all silver ans I said no it has a gold heart. She then walked us up to the counter and I said she knew the one I meant. Pulled up another charm that was also not the right charm so I said the name again. "Im pretty sure its the shining heart. She finally entered it and up it came.she made sure to correct me by saying I caused the confusion because I asked for a pendant not a charm. If the emplyees wants to offer help then it shouldnt then turn around and lecture someone. Her tone and point even caused my husband to feel uncomfortable and say lets just go. I wanted to get the "charm" so I did stay and purchase it. Im in my 40s and my family has been gifting me charms my early teens. I know what you expect when I walk into a James Avery usually a clean welcoming enjoyable place to shop where i alway leave with something and a enjoyable experience. Today unfortunately after the almost 30 years of being a partron Adela made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
