Dillards - Denton (TX)

5 /5 Jenn: We had a great experience!!! Arlette helped us find exactly what we needed and we were in and out quickly. While it was 20 minutes prior to closing, she was not rushed, and she didn’t make us feel as though we needed to rush. We did respect their time and tried to get out of their hair quickly. She was calm and collected and helped us to be very efficient. Another gentleman- I didn’t catch his name- was also very kind and helpful. He gave us a recommendation for two brands best suited for what we were looking for, and pointed us in the right direction. (He was middle-aged and had glasses and a mustache). All the employees we passed were very friendly and very helpful!

1 /5 Brenda ShelbyVazquez: This store has one of the most ridiculous return processes I have experienced. Instead of conveniently walking up to any store register, one MUST go to the department in which the item was purchased. (I am not sure what would happen if you needed to return multiple items from multiple departments.) Also please note - if you happen to walk by the Customer Service department on your journey to the appropriate department, do not even stop in, as they are also unable to help. They did not know the reason why they could not take the item, just that it was not allowed and they made it quite clear that all returns must be made in the item’s original department. Is this a ploy to get customers to sort the stock for them? Not according to the Men’s department employee who shared that the reason is that each department has their own policies regarding returns. A kudos to that polite young man with the kind eyes and easy smile who helped me. He was very pleasant and respectful. He probably laughed at how aghast I was at such a ridiculous policy but I sincerely cannot fathom why a store would inconvenience customers to this extent. Is this a “first world problem”? Yes. Is this only a minor inconvenience and ultimately I will survive? Yes. Will this experience dissuade me from shopping at Dillard’s in the future? Yes. Date of experience: 11/28/25

5 /5 Todd Hooper: The service here is top notch. When I asked for help, the staff immediately dropped what they were doing and focused on my requests. It’s refreshing to a retail store with a professional and helpful staff. Also, the items here are of high quality. Dillard’s is going to be my clothes shopping spot in Denton.

1 /5 Daniel Windham: One of the worst retail experiences I have ever had. I purchased a blazer that was 65% off which i understand is final sale however unless it is damaged which it was, I informed the cashier that I would like a return due to it have a manufacturer defect. I was informed Dillards does not do returns or exchanges so Im out of luck. I then spoke to a manager and was told the same thing that Dillards does not do refunds/exchanges but once i requested the policy in writing she attempted to do a return. She went over every single area of the blazer and treated me like i was a thief and liar. She issued a return to which i had to walk to a whole other department to receive my cash I used. This is truly the Dillards experience and will be what I use to teach my associates what poor service looks like.

1 /5 Kristin Barr: I bought some underwear and it wound up being defective. I followed the care instructions and the garment ripped. I tried to take it back to the this store for a refund and they refused, saying Id have to go through the manufacturer. They refused, saying I had to go through the local store. I went through your website and was refused again, saying they wouldnt override the stores decision. So, Im stuck with a shoddy product because you dont care. Im out $$ because you dont care. Ill never shop at your store again! Is this how you treat your customers? I have given you a lot of my business, but no more! Date of experience: 7 February 2026, and it was within the 30 day window. I had the garment and receipt with me, but they refused and when I asked how they were going to make thisright, all they said was "sorry." I dont want an apology, I want my money back!
