5 /5 Elizabeth Roberts Kaddoura: It was clean, ample parking, and easy to navigate back to the nature preserve. The weather was absolutely perfect so that definitely made it even better. People were having picnics, kids playing, exercising. We were able observe nature right in the middle of the city and it was so nice to “escape” the concrete and find the trails to the water to observe the ducks, tree roots holding the trees upright into the banks, all the little happy animals fluttering and filling their bellies. I loved knowing that there are cameras and felt safer because of them. Thanks for creating and preserving a clean and natural where it’s easy to observe nature right in the middle of the suburbs.

5 /5 Susie Hall: Nice area to walk at. It also goes into the Connemara Conservancy walking area. Dog friendly place.

5 /5 Riddhi: Small playground with a lot of space. What I love is that they have a walking show around along with a sand volleyball court. It’s nice because if you have kids, they enjoy playing with the sand and building castles during the summer.

5 /5 Sunny Shah: Great park! Nice children’s playground with small, medium and large slides and isn’t too crowded most of the day. We love having the kids play at the playground and then taking them for a stroll around the artificial lake that has ducks. If you’re in the central Plano area, definitely visit this park!

5 /5 Pablo Leininger: Nice park, not great sunsets since it is low. But well maintained and a hidden sand volleyball court that is nice. Great place for a walk and family friendly.

The Sophienburg Museum & Archives - New Braunfels

Miatha Pizana: This was our 1st time here, which was very interesting and very nicely set up. If you like history, especially of this town of why and how it came to be, this will answer your questions. They have a lot of old artifacts its small yet full of a lot of interesting information. How this Prince Carl Solms-Braunfels came to be and why it is New Braunfels. The staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly. Be nice to go, at least so you know the history of New Braunfels.

Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo - New Braunfels

Madelyn Carter: I love to come here and see all the animals. The staff is incredibly educational and I was told It’s a nonprofit business. There are tons educational exhibits and even fun activities like rock mining for kids but of course these come at an extra price. You can pay extra to feed special animals as well and there are so many animals to feed. There’s a petting zoo, snakes, different types of birds, and even more animals to see. It’s grown a lot over these years including more adding more animals which is great. There is also a gift shop inside with lots of cute souvenirs and items. Overall a fun place to visit in NB.

Schlitterbahn - New Braunfels

Brian Rick: We are kings island platinum pass holders and decided to visit while in Texas. The old part of the park is nice with its not so lazy rivers that use river water from nearby. They have a lot of kid friendly areas and it’s nice to be able to bring in coolers. The only negative was many line jumpers that the park did nothing about in either section old or new.

Fischer Park - New Braunfels

Ryan Switzer: Love Fischer park. My daughter likes to play in the sand pit and the playground. I love to take walks around the hiking trail that goes around the little lake. We havent played at the splash pad yet, but it looks really cool.

New Braunfels Historic Railroad and Modelers Society - New Braunfels

Valeska Bradshaw: The old train station is very well preserved, and inside there’s an extraordinary model train display. The staff is kind and respectful. The visit is quick, but it really allows you to imagine what it was like to travel by train decades ago, including the kind of luggage people used back then.

Landa Park Railroad - New Braunfels

Tyler Wehman: Nice park in New Braunfels for all ages. The train is a nice ride as well with the workers all very friendly. Nice short train ride with the park and pond to look at while riding. Recommended!

McKenna Childrens Museum - New Braunfels

Lynn Davies: Absolutely love this place! I would say the inside museum area appeals to 2-8 year olds but the outdoor water play area keeps even tweens happy with the different models they can build. Bring extra change of clothes as kids can get pretty wet! Lots of shade for parents to be in outside:)

Cypress Bend Park - New Braunfels

Rick Martineau: Found our way to this park for a work event. That was to support NATCC. The ISA event, went off without a hitch and was an amazing event to be a part of. NBFD staff that were there to assist were awesome.
