That’s when I found Strange Bird. After reading through all the stylist bios, I knew Breno would be the right fit for me. I have short (a bob), curly hair and usually wear it natural. Breno does an amazing job cutting it in a way that allows me to wear it either natural or straight, and it always looks great. From the very first appointment, I appreciated how he took the time to ask questions, understand exactly what I wanted, and share his professional insight before starting. He’s not only incredibly skilled but also friendly, kind, and fun to chat with. He creates such a comfortable environment, and I always leave the salon with a smile and a fresh boost of confidence in my new haircut. Highly recommend!

It took a lot for me to spend this kind of money the first time but after getting my hair cut by her it was the easiest decision in the world to do it again. She is sweet, funny, and charming and it’s very easy to express your needs to her. She really listens, she’s not the kind of hairdresser that will take length off that you didn’t want her to. Can’t recommend enough.

She began the appointment by squarely sitting across from me and asking questions that showed she was trying to get a holistic picture of my aesthetic. She took her time envisioning and her inquiries guided me to articulate what I didnt even know I wanted myself. The result was a haircut that everyone compliments me on, feels like "me", and has worn well over time (as she told me it would - there was no awkward stage as it grew out). What stands out was that the cut was so intelligent; what she did was artistic, empathetic, knowing. Ive found my stylist in the Austin area, and I am so grateful for it!
