1 /5 Cheryl Klink: I’ve never had this much trouble getting a proper physician authorization from their office to insurance. My son has a severe disability and MARY in Palang/McBride’s office has been no help at all. My son has spoken with her twice and I have spoken with her 3 times. All she has keeps saying is, “it’s been submitted”….but has done absolutely nothing to help us with an obvious problem. Would it be too much to ask to RE-submit the form?! Disabled patients are vulnerable to falling through the cracks of the system and people like MARY are the reason. He is out of a medication that protects his one diminished kidney. She is rude. I’ve never had We have been going to SETMA for years and only recently began to experience incompetence and substandard assistance with required insurance document submissions.

3 /5 Peggy Nash: The SETMA organization is owned by the company STEWART MEDICAL that has filed bankruptcy. Im not sure what is happening as far as if they are staying open for business. The doctors are okay but dont count on seeing any of them. I made an appointment with my pcp about five weeks in advance but received a phone call the day of the appointment to inform me the doctor was sick and I had to reschedule my appointment. The earliest appointment available was in October. My original appointment was scheduled August 29th. I was told I could see a NP September 9th. I had blood work done on 27th August for the first appointment. So I took the appointment with the NP but was disappointed. I guess it is time to look for a new doctor.

I never was put in a room but in a chair behind a curtain (I was passing a kidney stone this pain is just as bad a labor pain) when they took me to a room to draw blood I was told by one of the staff (I felt like I was gonna throw up)and she said dont do that in here! It took them almost 3 hrs to give me something for the pain not to mention Im a 53 yr old woman with blood pressure issues upon arrival check in pressure was 177/120 never tried to address blood pressure they only checked it twice the whole time now its was high due to pain but blood pressure was still high enough that they should have addressed it! Bathroom was nasty. Also I was in an area where I was sitting behind a nurses room I pressed the button for help no one came until (30-40 min later) I was told we cant see the light! why is it there if yall dont periodically check to see if a patient needs help! What if a patient was having a reaction to meds or going into cardiac arrest and your response is we can’t see that the call button was illuminated Then to the right of me was another door where I can hear the nurses just laughing talking about non work related things so unprofessional. I heard another patient crying due whatever her condition was but I heard a nurse tell her that she was acting childish At no point should a nurse tell a patient that! And when I get this bill I hope it reflects the level I care/service I was given which was POOR! Never was put in a room just this chair and a curtain for hours!!!I have never been to a hospital where they treat u in a hallway which violates hippa rights no level of privacy and this hospital needs to do better

Thank you to all of Them on shift that day!! Med Surg Nurses, Hospitalist, were also GREAT! And then there’s the Radiology Staff….TOP NOTCH!! Would recommend Christus Spohn Alice to EVERYONE!!!

Irene Barnett: I came by ambulance from home, due to high blood sugar and dehydration! My dr was awesome! So thoughtful and thorough! After he checked me and started a drip to correct my dehydration, he brought me a sandwich, because I was hungry late in the night! Thank you Dr Sandau!
