Steeve: Very nice Memorial to visit. It was a good surprise, it’s huge and with a lot of historical information in a small city like McAllen. I highly recommend it to go with your children and teach them some history.

Jessica Barnes: We really enjoyed our visit. There were lots of butterflies and birds to watch. We even got to see a beautiful ribbon snake. The staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions. This is a really nice place to spend a few hours. My only "complaint" would be that the information signs were all missing. I hope that they are being updated. We definitely want to visit again.

Amber Palomo: I love this park! There are multiple trails to walk or bike, so it never gets boring. It has four or five small playgrounds, a pavilion, a nice little duck pond, and plenty of open space. There are also baseball fields, a soccer area, and two basketball courts—one under the pavilion and one outside. The dog park is pretty big, and there are plenty of covered picnic spots if you want to hang out. Parking is never an issue with several big lots. Overall, it’s a great spot to get outside, stay active, or just relax and enjoy the scenery! A huge plus is it’s very well lit at night and there’s usually a cop driving around.
