Westside Park and Field - McAllen M Gd “JesusLuvsyou”: Too dark they need to trim some trees for the playground and more lights for safety. They need benches along the playground too.
Fountain Center Park - Edinburg Francisco Moreno: Public parks are great but people are dirty they leave their trash on the ground and tag graffiti and destroy whatever they can the city cant upgrade the parks because they spend their budget on repairs
Edinburg Bicentennial Park - Edinburg liby Martinez: My daughter loves coming here. I like the fact that it is open late. Many different play areas, plus has a water play station. Also has a pet area and skate board area.
Edinburg Scenic Wetlands & World Birding Center - Edinburg Jessica Barnes: We really enjoyed our visit. There were lots of butterflies and birds to watch. We even got to see a beautiful ribbon snake.
The staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions. This is a really nice place to spend a few hours.
My only "complaint" would be that the information signs were all missing. I hope that they are being updated.
We definitely want to visit again.
Edinburg Municipal Park - Edinburg Amber Palomo: I love this park! There are multiple trails to walk or bike, so it never gets boring. It has four or five small playgrounds, a pavilion, a nice little duck pond, and plenty of open space. There are also baseball fields, a soccer area, and two basketball courts—one under the pavilion and one outside.
The dog park is pretty big, and there are plenty of covered picnic spots if you want to hang out. Parking is never an issue with several big lots. Overall, it’s a great spot to get outside, stay active, or just relax and enjoy the scenery!
A huge plus is it’s very well lit at night and there’s usually a cop driving around.
Freddy Gonzalez Memorial Park Splash Playground - Edinburg Jessica Benavidez: Wasnt crowded on the Sat I went around 3 pm. 6 benches at splash pad, some with shade coverage. Spacious. Clean. Free and entertaining for littles. I would assume that kids up to 10 would enjoy. Has buckets that dump water, circle/ring "tunnel" lots of floor fountains that spray high and low. Pretend Fire hydrant has spay spouts. Dry playground looked good, across from splash pad. Fence around the area but has openings for dry playground area and the other opening is for the walking trail.Has decent size restrooms but I didnt go in.
Museum of South Texas History - Edinburg Luis Gonzalez: Without a doubt, a beauty in South Texas. Ive been here several times, and Im still amazed at the vastness of this place. Its spacious, and always cool, so bring a sweater!
Ive brought my family here, and they loved it. I will be coming back. The new jail addition was great too! Love it!
5 stars mang!
Levelland City Park - Levelland Maria Alcazar: We rented a building there for a toddler birthday party. Big space, theres a refrigerator, stove ,large sinks, and plenty of tables and chairs. And very cleaned bathrooms
