1 /5 Dak: My first experience here was amazing, the second however, was not. On my first experience, the dentist was kind and informative, advised me of treatment options and extracted a broken tooth without FORCING me to pay for a bone graft out of pocket. Bone grafts are elective and therefore NOT covered under insurance. On my second experience, the office manager, told me the dentist refused to treat me unless I paid for the $350 bone graft, meaning my normal $23 bill was now going to be over $400. She said the doctor said it was optional for 1 tooth but not another. A bone graft is only necessary when doing an implant where bone loss is present, NOT for an extraction regardless of the presence of bone loss. It is not up to the dentist or the office manager for that matter, whether I have the capability to receive an implant in 20 years. They do this to drive up the out-of-pocket costs for people with insurance. It is a SCAM and completely unethical as they are causing people to suffer for not having an extra $350 while they are in excruciating pain.
