1 /5 Thatoneguy_lr Lonerocker: Was out of a very important prescription. Made an appointment- the earliest they could see me was a whole week later. Finally that day came and I show up 15mins early to my appointment. I was prompted to pay before seeing the care provider. I had to wait in the lobby for 30mins and then in the actual observation room for another 30mins. While in the observation room UMC has decided to play music with accompanying ads in the rooms while you wait- very annoying. The total visit time I had with the care provider was 5mins. The people there are nice enough but the system they use for prioritizing and taking care of patients efficiently is BROKEN. Will do everything in my power not to use this clinic again but with it being the only option in-town I will most likely be forced to.

Tammy Rohlf: Brought my husband in to the ER with what ended up being pneumonia. Every staff member we interacted with was professional, compassionate and explained each step of the process. The tests were completed quickly and his first dose of meds were given. Dr. Martinez was great, and from the nurses to imaging and lab we had no issues. We had the best experience here and if I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for taking care of my husband.

Anabel Hewitt: The incident that happened October 2024. I brought my daughter in to be seen and was told I had a past due balance of $85. I told the receptionist that I could pay today’s copay, but could pay the past due balance next week. I was sent to talk to Carol and explained the situation and that I’d be happy to give them my card information so they could automatically have it withdrawn. Her reply was that she sent me letters about the past due balance. I explained to her that I did not receive the letters nor a phone call Carla told me it wasn’t their job to call patients. I just wanted to come up with a game plan to pay for the past due balance within just a week it would have all been paid and tried to explain the situation again, but then things began to escalate. She yelled at me in front of my daughters and I was kicked out of the office. I then called my mother in law, Amy, who came up and tried to deescalate the situation. She paid the $85 for me, and asked if we could still be seen. Carla then took us in the back to give my mother in law misinformation about the situation to make me upset so I would yell so she could kick me out for the second time. She just kept trying to start a fight with us. All I wanted was my daughter to get seen, so I didn’t fight with her! We live in Kerrville and if it wasn’t such a drive we would not have stayed. The other staff was incredibly nice and my daughter was able to see one of the doctors, that day. Because of this incident, I have decided to move my daughter to Kerrville Pediatrics . While the behavior of one member of the staff may not speak on behalf of the company, if you may be able to do so, kindly look into the behavior of this person to make sure that the incident does not happen again. It will be such a shame to have the reputation of the company be tarnished by a single employee

This prompt attention greatly eased my pain and anxiety, setting the tone for the rest of my visit. One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional care provided by Nurse Wilma. She was attentive to my needs, ensuring that I was comfortable throughout my time at the emergency room. Nurse Wilmas dedication to her profession is truly commendable. Dr. Martinez, the attending physician, demonstrated a high level of expertise and genuine concern for my well-being. Upon learning that I had broken my Tibia and required surgery, I was introduced to Dr. Ritchie, my surgeon. From the moment I met him, Dr. Ritchie instilled a sense of trust and confidence in me. His expertise and meticulous approach to the surgery were evident, and I knew I was in capable hands. The surgery was a success, and I am grateful for Dr. Ritchies skillful work. Throughout my overnight stay, every single person involved in my care displayed a remarkable level of knowledge and compassion. From the nurses to the support staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and well-being. Their attentiveness and genuine concern made a significant difference in my overall experience. In conclusion, my experience at the emergency room in Fredericksburg exceeded all expectations. Janet Leichliter: Dr Stauffer performed a colonoscopy on me. Three days later I found myself in the ER with acute peritonitis, and potentially hours to live, due to a long gash in my colon. I underwent partial removal of my colon, and had the colostomy bag procedure. When my surgeon contacted Dr Stauffer about this critical event, he said he did not know there was a problem. I NEVER heard a word from him. After suffering for months from the complications of this colonoscopy, I was able to go to Mayo Clinic to get everything up and running again. I was fortunate to find a great surgeon in Marble Falls, who took me in for life saving surgery immediately, and Mayo who reversed the life saving measures performed by my surgeon. I believe people should be aware that this happened when you are considering a colonoscopy to be performed by Dr Stauffer.
