1 /5 Janet Leichliter: Dr Stauffer performed a colonoscopy on me. Three days later I found myself in the ER with acute peritonitis, and potentially hours to live, due to a long gash in my colon. I underwent partial removal of my colon, and had the colostomy bag procedure. When my surgeon contacted Dr Stauffer about this critical event, he said he did not know there was a problem. I NEVER heard a word from him. After suffering for months from the complications of this colonoscopy, I was able to go to Mayo Clinic to get everything up and running again. I was fortunate to find a great surgeon in Marble Falls, who took me in for life saving surgery immediately, and Mayo who reversed the life saving measures performed by my surgeon. I believe people should be aware that this happened when you are considering a colonoscopy to be performed by Dr Stauffer.

1 /5 Amanda Nelson: This Doctor needs retirement. He caused my son, unbelievable pain and infection after his surgery that had been performed by Dr Stauffer one week after in his office, putting him into shock. Dr Stauffer has no time to explain anything and doesn’t really want to. He gives you that “I really don’t care” attitude and is very reluctant on answering any questions. Doesn’t actually even want to answer questions. Thank God, we found a solution through someone else. This person stated that if we had kept with Dr. Stauffer that my son would have taken one year to heal. Now it is looking like 6 to 8 weeks.
