Janet Leichliter: Dr Stauffer performed a colonoscopy on me. Three days later I found myself in the ER with acute peritonitis, and potentially hours to live, due to a long gash in my colon. I underwent partial removal of my colon, and had the colostomy bag procedure. When my surgeon contacted Dr Stauffer about this critical event, he said he did not know there was a problem. I NEVER heard a word from him. After suffering for months from the complications of this colonoscopy, I was able to go to Mayo Clinic to get everything up and running again. I was fortunate to find a great surgeon in Marble Falls, who took me in for life saving surgery immediately, and Mayo who reversed the life saving measures performed by my surgeon. I believe people should be aware that this happened when you are considering a colonoscopy to be performed by Dr Stauffer.
Titanium Syn: Always good care of me! Kind, smart, knowledgeable, lovely people! Might need to wait some time after your appt to see them as they get quite busy at times, so come prepared with time to spare.
scf22atx1: Recent patient for surgical services. My experience began with the professional and friendly staff of Dr. Kathleen Koerner. Her medical expertise and Gods gifted hands helped me through my time of need. Secondly, The OR staff from pre-op to PACU, the nursing team that cared for me while I stayed at Memorial Hospital. GHS is about an hour away from where I live. I put my trust and confidence in this facility versus some of the bigger healthcare entities nearest me. Since the surgeries (2) my recovery is on track and I appreciate my rate of healing at this point. The food was delicious and the young man that came to my room to personally take my meal orders- you rock!!!!! The nurse that cared for me at night- I greatly appreciate you walking with me down the halls to help relieve my pain/discomfort. To the Night Charge Nurse- thank you for advocating for me and supporting you Nurse to make that call re: my pain/discomfort. Everyone from receptionist, registration, to the morning housekeeper that greeted me. You are the positive that Healthcare Facilities are not spoken about. My hat is off to you all with my standing ovation. THANK YOU ALL.
Nancy Conley: Although this is where my primary care physician is located, this was the first time I arrived sick, without an appointment, early on a Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and professional as usual, and the facility is always very clean. Although not first in line, I was seen within the hour by Dr. Walker ( not my primary care physician.) He was thorough and efficient and did not make me feel like he was rushed to get a diagnosis and get me out of there. He said he would ask the pharmacy to expedite my three prescriptions so I could get home asap, and they were working on them by the time I got there. I am just pleased to know that I can rely on this office to provide quality care when my own doctor is not the one on call.
Leslie Haak: I agree with the comments below. I haven’t been able to get my medications for weeks despite many attempts. The portal doesn’t work and I have been unhappy with my doctor as well. I can’t recall a more frustrating doctor experience, please save your sanity and look elsewhere.
