1 /5 mel: This doctors office is a joke.
Dr Fowler‘s office accepted my brother as a patient six months ago and so far he’s only been able to see two nurse practitioners because the doctor is too booked up to be able to get an appointment with him , which is bad enough, but today my brother tested positive for Covid19. He called the doctors office for treatment with Paxlovid medicine at 10 o’clock in the morning and was told that because he has not been seen by Dr Fowler yet they could not call him in a prescription for covid19 but was told a nurse would call at 3:15 in the afternoon and then a nurse practitioner would call at 4pm for a phone appointment . Nurse practitioner did not call until 5:08 pm. He talked to my brother on the phone and said he was calling him in a prescription for Paxlovid, an inhaler and a decongestant. It is 6:30 in the evening. The pharmacy is closing in 30 minutes and still no prescription called in as of yet. When you have Covid19 and are prescribed Paxlovid it is very important to start that medicine in the first five days of infection for it to be effective. So from 10 am in the morning till 6:30 pm in the evening still no prescription for Paxlovid. From February to August still has not seen Dr Fowler. Why is this doctor still accepting patients when he is too booked up to give them proper medical care and why would you lie to someone in my brothers situation and cause them to wait for a time sensitive medicine for covid 19? What a waste of time and energy.
Hopefully my brother doesn’t get worse because of this.
