1 /5 Sheila MK: I had breast surgery because of mammogram findings in June and my experience with Dr Bergal was awful. The day after surgery, I started having complications and she failed to respond properly. My symptoms and complaints were dismissed repeatedly by her and staff. I am a 42 yr old healthy woman. My recovery should have been 1 to 2 weeks not months. Im so thankful for my new breast surgeon in Houston, Tx. After receiving home health care, weekly appointments at wound care center, and wearing a wound vac, I am finally on road to recovery.

1 /5 Scott Orrenmaa: it’s been five years since I had a hernia surgery and I am still in pain five different operations, but I’m still in pain. She cut something she wasn’t supposed to do not go to her.

1 /5 Cristine: This place was very dismissive of my issues. My Dr was changed at the last minute (after surgery was scheduled) because apparently the Dr I had been seeing the last several months was leaving without even informing patients. When they called to reschedule the girl was quite cold about it spouting how it "wasnt their fault." Because of the freeing weather. No, that wasnt their fault but you still need to be compassionate to people, if that wasnt bad enough that same girl scheduled me for a "bad time." Called back to reschedule again and was rude again. This time I broke down ( it is a lot to emotionally and physically prepare yourself for surgery that takes weeks to heal.) I was hysterical, she continued her, I couldnt care less attitude, transferred to another unapologetic women who defended the girls mistakes without any remorse as I am in tears with these people. Finally, surgery day went ok, met my surgeon for the first time, Torres, she was nice. I did like her. She seemed to do great on the surgery too, but follow up care was not great either. They barely have me enough pain meds to make the pain remotely bearable, one refill giving me 1 tylenol 3 with codeine every 8 hours. Good thing I had some stuff left over from giving birth to my last child or I would probably still be in bed. I felt like I was being treated like drug addict or something. Now I finally called to book my own follow up since they hadnt called one time. Hope all is well when I go and I NEVER have to return to this place again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Even if the drs are good the majority of the office staff is horrible. They really do not seem to care about people here.

1 /5 Miss U: Had an appointment scheduled for 10:15. At 11:30 I went to the front desk to determine how much longer I would have to wait. Response: There is another patient in front of me. Maybe another 20-30 min. So almost two hours of waiting is acceptable, apparently. After questioning I was brought to the back (to finish the wait). Dr. Linda Bergal talked all of maybe five solid minutes about the situation with me to really have reached the conclusion to see another doctor. My time is just as valuable. I cant understand how policies about timeliness and cancellation are enforced on the patient but no regard is given to the doctor about reciprocating the same decency. I could tell the staff was talking about me because when I opened the door everybody got quiet; and thats okay. Hope no one reaps the seeds theyve sown. Sometimes you have to make the drive to get better care.

1 /5 Stacy Moore: Please dont go here if you have breast issues; go straight to a breast specialist! I cant speak for every surgeon employed by them, but the surgeon I saw after being referred due to mammogram and ultrasound findings told me there are "no lymph nodes in your armpit" so the swelling/lump in mine couldnt possibly be related to breast problems (funny because it alarmed the two other doctors who led me to this office due to concerns of lymphoma or breast cancer), and my one swollen breast and non-specific lymph node findings were nothing to worry about. She recommended no biopsies or follow-ups of any kind-- even when I specifically asked about what I should do if the symptoms remained for another few months-- and basically dismissed me as (and made me feel) crazy. I called MD Anderson as soon as I got home, had my test results sent over-- and she was WRONG. I have been advised to file a formal complaint. How can a surgeon not know the lymphatic system? If you decide to go to this office for breast problems and leave feeling more confused and/or uncertain than when you arrived--- GET A SECOND OPINION!!! If you decide to see a surgeon in Beaumont, look up Dr. Peel. He studied at the Mayo Clinic and has some of the best reviews in Beaumont (at the time of my research) and is who I was going to ask to see, but I was referred here by my doctors office the day my results came in (before confirming my surgeon of choice) so I trusted their judgement. BIG mistake on my part! If you still want to go to this office, try to get in with Dr. Torres. I was hoping she was who I would see but, unfortunately, that did not happen. I cant remember the name of the doctor I saw but will update my review with it soon.
