With all the bleaching I had previously done I was concerned about doing any damage. Marisa took the time to understand that my main goal is to grow healthy long hair but also to have some beautiful and dramatic color. She delivered just look at my pics! Beyond her coloring expertise, her scalp massages are other worldly! I highly recommend Marisa for anyone interested in color, she really gets it!

It was a huge change in length and I got a lot of compliments at home and work. I fell ill recently and after a feverish night I was surprised at how presentable I looked in the morning. They help you with styling but you just can’t beat a good classic cut. Thanks guys!

From the start, the owner, Stefan, was incredibly helpful—assisted with setting up and made sure everything ran smoothly. It’s clear that the employees here are well taken care of, and that positive energy carries over into the experience they provide for their clients. When I arrived for my service, they gave me a questionnaire, which I really appreciated. It included a free add-on option and even asked if I preferred to chat or have quiet time during my appointment—something small but so thoughtful, as my mood varies between wanting to talk and simply relaxing. The entire space is beautiful, clean, and well-designed, and the shampoo room was especially relaxing. From the moment I walked in, I felt truly welcomed and like I was their priority. For my service, Megan gave me a haircut, and when I mentioned I had a performance coming up, they went above and beyond by styling my hair into a gorgeous bun. Another employee even stepped in to do some makeup touch-ups since I’m not the most skilled in that area. It was such a kind and unexpected extra touch that made me feel even more confident. Overall, I can’t recommend Apotheca enough! The level of care and attention to detail here is unmatched, and I’ll definitely be back.

Even though I love changing my color up often I always feel like my hair gets healthier and softer every visit! Juliana Beladera: I love Salon Wyld! Their new location is great too. The salon is beautiful and modern, but has a cozy and welcoming feel to it. You’ll become BFF’s with the entire team, especially the owner Carly! My stylist is Meghan and she’s awesome! She always does a wonderful job touching up my layers, blowing it out or straightening it. She listens well and gives me exactly what I’m wanting with my hair. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, such a gem of a place!

Kati Taylor: Anna gave me the best haircut of my life. I had described what I wanted and she asked for a picture – picture and description were slightly different. She cut my hair exactly like the picture which was longer than my description. Then she said, “would you still want it shorter” I debated a little bit and decided I definitely still wanted more length taken off. She continued my haircut with the same thoughtfulness as the first iteration. Ultimately the cut was exactly what I envisioned. This had never before happened in my life. Anna has a calming presence, is precise and thoughtfully thorough.

Charlee was amazing and helped me gradually fix it so I didn’t have to chop my hair too short. She now is my go-to stylist! Method has such a cool vibe, great people and a very convenient location for anyone downtown. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for Organic Color, highly skilled stylists, a peaceful environment (they have so many plants its like a greenhouse!), and prefer to support small businesses, this is the salon for you.

Rebekah Shaffer: Madison has cut my hair since I moved to Austin 6 years ago. 15/10 stars. She did a fantastic job on my initial haircut and has only improved over the years. She continues with her education, really listens to you as a client, and EDUCATES on how to style your hair at home! I have wavy hair that turns curly when brush styled. She showed me a new brush that has changed my game. The curls last for days. Im so grateful and will definitely be making my appointments bi-annually instead of...whenever I can. Even people who dont normally notice curly hair notice mine and compliment it. I cant give her enough credit for how much I love my hair. Definitely see Madison if you can!

He listens to your thoughts on what you want and gives his recommendations on what he believes would be the best color choices for your current hair color and condition of your hair. I highly recommend him! Frankie is wonderful too. She is very precise when cutting hair and Ive never left feeling like I did not get an excellent cut. I can go 9 weeks and my hair still looks great which has been rare with past stylists. I highly recommend Frankie!

The atmosphere at the salon was super friendly from the moment you step in. I also loved that theres a cute little vintage shop to peruse before or after your cut. My daughter (6.5) was so excited to go up on stage to have her hair cut and is absolutely thrilled with her cut. Very LGBTQ+ Friendly, I felt safe and welcome. Love this salon and will definitely be returning for my next cut as well as cuts for my daughter.

Sandie Fauss: I booked an appointment a month in advance for my daughter for her first and last prom of high school. Having never gone to a prom she was so excited about having her nails and hair done, and then getting pictures! Because we had not done anything before, I fear I waited too long to book, as all our own stylists were already booked! I picked this place because of recent reviews. However, at the very last minute the salon called (not the owners) and told us our appointment was canceled because the stylist got sick! I asked about a back up stylist and she said they were booked! My daughter was devastated when I told her! How does a salon this large not have a backup plan? So I asked to speak to the manager. An “owner” called many hours later. She told us that we had not ever been customers there before so why would we expect a back up stylist for our updo? And we had only made the appointment one month in advance! If you are anticipating having your hair done for important event, you had better be an existing customer. Very highly unrecommended! It is not like we were getting a hair cut that could have been postponed a week! And the “owner”? Super unprofessional! Will post pics of my daughter’s beautiful hair as soon as we can find another salon two days in advance of the prom! Two days! Update: we got her hair done at Shine Salon and Spa! They are super nice and worked us in even though we weren’t their “regular customers “! See pics of their great work below!
