Stacy McQuestion I recently moved here from Dallas where I had a reliable mechanic. I really got lucky choosing Clear Lake Auto Service as my new reliable Automotive Service provider. The staff are professional and friendly, provide transportation to and from the shop, and are upfront and honest. Tim the Service Advisor was very helpful and knowledgeable walking me through what I needed to maintain my 16 year old car in tip top condition Safety is important and they made me feel I was in safe hands!

pdbabin CLAS was highly recommended to me and I have already recommended them to two friends. Their work is excellent and very reasonably priced. They saved me approximately $2K when compared to the dealership. However, what keeps me coming back is their absolutely phenomenal customer service. Everyone is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. So to all the nice folks(Cathy, Tim, Robert, and Phillip) who took their time with me and made me feel like family, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Looking forward to seeing you next time. Pamela Green Had a Fender Bender over the 4th of July Holidays! Took my vehicle to Manuel’s and he repaired my Bumper so quick and patiently He and Johnny worked so diligently until i felt like I was at home with my brother and my dad! Good Down home Business! Kerry Riggs Needed some body work done. Got an estimate from Caliber Collision whom I have used several times in the past. Then went to Manuels Paint & Body Shop for an estimate. I was very happy to find out they were willing to do the work for almost $1000 less than Caliber Collision. They did the job in just a couple of days and it was perfect.

jalise middleton If I could give 10 stars I would! We are full-time RV’ers , as we were leaving our campsite, we heard a pop sound in a tire and discovered we had a screw in the back tire of our truck. We are pulling a 38 foot RV so finding a tire center with a parking lot Easiest to navigate was important, but also finding a close one.. we called ahead to see how busy they were and they told us to come on and they will take good care of us. And boy did they! We pulled behind the building where they ran out to us and it looked more like we were in the pits of the Indy 500! They had us back on the road in 17 minutes flat!!! as if that service wasn’t enough, They even come out of the garage to help us back the RV out of their parking lot and they held traffic to make sure nobody tried to go around us while we were backing. These guys were absolutely amazing!

Grace Morris Had my vehicle towed in. Fortunately it wasnt busy and they were able to take me quickly. The staff was genuinely concerned about my vehicle. I also took note of their concern and courtesy towards others. They were polite, professional and extremely helpful. Ive been coming here as a local for years. I will continue to do so for the excellent service, and fair pricing. Thank you to William Weeks and Preston Sanders for service that went above and beyond. To be fair, there have been busy times and waiting on occasion is just part of life.

Not cheap but reasonable considering their trustworthy and honest approach to car repairs. Peace of mind is invaluable in used car ownership.

Alan Leiker We had a serious electrical issue with our Jeep. We took it to the dealership first, they had it for 3 weeks and couldnt figure it out; this coupled with the fact that their customer service was terrible made us decide to bring our vehicle here instead. Galveston Automotive was very professional, communicative, and they took good care of our vehicle. They were much more proactive and were able to troubleshoot the problem and have it repaired in about two weeks. They gave us updates throughout, letting us know what they were working on, as well as the various costs. When it came time to pay, they were good about working with our Extended Warranty company, which we used to help cover the costs of the repairs. Highly recommended!

Came down from Minnesota to vacation here in Galveston and started are trip of with vehicle troubles and was fit in on a busy Saturday. Harper Young I had an amazing experience at Marty’s City Auto in Galveston! The service was quick, reliable, and fairly priced, but the real standout was Yo Yo. He was incredibly kind, patient, and went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of. His willingness to help and friendly attitude made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find such genuine customer service these days, but Yo Yo and the team at Marty’s truly go above and beyond. If you need auto service in Galveston, this is the place to go—highly recommend!

Lindsay M AMAZING Customer service! We had the unfortunate event of having car troubles while vacationing in Galveston. My husband found Marty’s and saw it had good reviews so, we went with them. Jerry was our tow truck driver. He went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us. Marty’s was booked solid for the day and couldn’t get us in to fix our car. We wanted to get it fixed same day. Another place said they could get us in and unfortunately we ended up having a bad experience with them. After accepting that we would have to wait another day, my husband called Jerry and he helped us get our car into Marty’s to get fixed. He said it would be done the next day by noon. Jerry called us and 830pm that night and said it was done! We were so impressed and thankful for his help and speediness! On top of that, the tow cost and repair costs were not astronomical and very acceptable. When Jerry was towing us he had made the statement of “treating people like you want to be treated”. He stood by that statement with how he took care of our family! It was a great life lesson for our kids to always “treat people like you want to be treated”. We can’t thank Jerry, the mechanic or Marty’s business enough for giving us a good experience. We would 100% recommend Marty’s to anyone local or visiting from out of town!

Ramona Diaz Caliber Collision was one of the very best car repair shops that I have ever experienced. Great customer service, staff members were so friendly and helpful, made me feel like I was VIP!!! My vehicle was repaired way sooner than I expected and it looked like it was brand new, shiny and so cleaned inside. I was so surprised for this extra gesture. Also loved the periodic text messages that I received, keeping me informed during the repair process. Great honest company!!!

James Farrell I was stuck on a family trip away from home on a Sunday afternoon. Mark diagnosed the problem and got me rolling quickly and safely. His pricing was definitely reasonable. The rest of my family was shocked how quickly everything got fixed. He made me look like a hero.

Rigina I was having a bad day. My back tire was completely gone, put air in it and 5 minutes later I was flat again. I am not rich and I counted on my kids to help me replace this tire but they didnt care. Bobby was absolutely great. He changed the tire for a new used one. Malea Harvey These guys were really professional and nice. They gave me good fast service and made sure I had a good tire on my car that was safe for me to ride with my kids . They replaced one of my tires with an almost new used tire and checked all the others and made sure all my pressure was right and advised me about my alignment but didnt pressure me to purchase anything extra. There is also a comfortable air-conditioned and clean waiting area to wait in while they service your car. I was very pleased with this shop!!

Virginia Martinez What a scam!! Go in for an inspection and get charged ahead of time without even knowing if your vehicle is going to pass inspection. Then they put their restrictions on it that your car needs to get fixed within 15 days and go back for the inspection otherwise youre going to have to pay again. Why not just charge once the inspection has been passed? Never again.

Leif Marcussen I was quoted $96 for a synthetic oil change by some guy that may or may not have been an employee for my 7 yr old 4 door Chevy. When I balked he said he could do it for $69 . What a Rip Off He suggested Walmart. Do Not Use this place

Hr Nn 5 Stars – Excellent Service! We were in Galveston for a cheer competition this past weekend when our tire pressure light came on the night before our trip back to Arkansas. After adding air to the tire the car showed as low, the light was still on the next morning. We searched for nearby tire shops and found A&A based on their outstanding reviews—and they did not disappoint! We pulled in, and they immediately checked the tire that seemed to be causing the issue. Although they didn’t find anything wrong with that one, when we mentioned we’d be driving all the way back to Arkansas, they kindly offered to check all four tires just to be safe. Sure enough, they found a screw in one of the others and repaired it right away. Their team was fast, friendly, and professional—absolutely living up to their amazing rating. Thanks to A&A, we made it all the way back to central Arkansas with no issues. If we ever have car trouble in Galveston again, we know exactly where to go. Thank you so much, A&A Tire!

Tiffany I had a lot of electrical issues that was caused by wheel sensors. I took it to 3 different mechanics only to have them give me the run around and quote me ridiculous amount of money because, well, I’m just a girl. I took it to BOI for a fourth opinion and they had my car fixed and ready in a day! They were honest about the cost and were quick and efficient. Pepe is a great manager. He communicated with me throughout the whole process and upfront about what was causing all the problems and how they would fix it. I’ll bring my car here for all my car issues and have recommended friends to come here as well. They’re just honest people who work hard and efficiently.

Jason Mouton Carlos Tire Shop absolutely saved the start of our vacation! We had a blowout on our Ford Transit 15-passenger van just 20 minutes before their closing time. Not only were they super nice and helpful over the phone, but they had the exact 10-ply van tire we needed in stock — which is no easy find! The team worked like a NASCAR pit crew — fast, professional, and efficient. We were back on the road in no time, and even better, we saved $270 thanks to their high-quality used tires. From what I saw, they only deal in top-condition used tires, and for peace of mind, they could’ve ordered a new tire to arrive the next day if we preferred. Whether youre local or just passing through Galveston, I highly recommend Carlos Tire Shop. If youre in a bind, this is the place you want to call!

Angel Nguyen I was having issues with my car battery, and this shop went above and beyond. They inspected my car for free and even replaced the battery at no cost. I was in and out in just 5 minutes. Truly the nicest group of mechanics I’ve ever met. Honest, professional, and kind. I highly recommend this place to anyone dealing with car troubles. You’ll be in good hands!

Kenneth French Ill give the Man credit where credit is due! He was able to get my F-350 Dually into the bay and performed excellent service on my truck and was a pure joy to work with. He will ask you questions and it just might cost you more than when you walked in. Being we are on a cross country RV Adventure, I would think this was money well spent. I know what youre thinkin, I shoulda taken care of it before.....blah, blah blah, yall live yours and Ill live mine. If you find you need service check em out. Theyre awesome.
