1 /5 MingYang Lu: Ownership changed with completely new chef and wait staff. Very unfortunate because I would come every other month for a reliable brunch. The easy over eggs were burnt and bitter, the hasbrown crisp was hard to chew, the fruit was canned pineapple and peaches, and several of the best parts of the menu was cut. No more cabbage hashbrowns, no more strawberry & chicken salad, no more daily specials, and no more fresh flowers on the tables either. The previous owners and chefs were truly special, what a shame. My server was very nice tho, she new to the restaurant as well but unfortunately the change in chef is too big of a fall from grace in my opinion.

1 /5 Mikala W.: My children & I went in today & I can honestly say I am very surprised at what happened. I am a review reader & those of you who follow my reviews know I am not an establishment basher- today’s review will be no different. So I’ll just stick to the facts: we went in & we (3) were seated right away. No one came to take a drink order for about 10-15 min. When she took our drink order- it was again around 10 min. before she returned (we has already pretty much made up our mind to leave but decided to take a quick minute to think about it before abruptly asking for the check). Well we asked for a minute and it was about another 15 before she returned. We asked for the check up her return. I was surprised because I had seen several reviews to state many positives and the negative reviews had plenty of time to be rectified. I do recommend Talia’s Cafe (see the pictures). I have been 4xs now and I am never disappointed. The meals are plentiful and affordable. The service is quick (5 minute wait expresses up front, drink order taken within minutes, and food is cooked to order hot and tasty with nice presentation. I do not work for Talia’s nor am I compensated for this- just stating where we went once we spent $11 on drinks/tip and about 45 minutes and left Mom’s Best All-Day Breakfast, Crunch & Cafe.

5 /5 Michael Knutson: Friends love this place and suggested we try it out. We came in and really liked the decorations on the wall, very cool indeed. The menu can be completely overwhelming as there are so many options to choose from. I liked all the differences. Since we arrived at brunch time my wife got the French toast and I got the Cowboy Chicken. The plate was huge and full of food which was awesome. The biscuits were nice and fluffy. The chicken and breading was awesome. I loved the hashbrowns, as they were just the right crisp. My wife thought the French toast good, but could have been a bit more crispy. The bacon was great as well. The prices are between 10-20 a plate which seems to be the norm lately. We did see people get the peach tea and a frappe which bother look delicious and something to get next time The staff was very nice and attentive. Will come back again!

1 /5 Antonio Acosta: Took my family and friends to eat here this morning. The waiter Felipe D. was not attentive. He didn’t pay attention to detail. The orders came out under cooked to the point where the egg whites were slimy. We had to ask for multiple things in the couple of times we did get Felipe’s attention. Such ans silverware, creamer for the coffees, straws, etc. Over all the quality of the food and service was below satisfaction. I would warn not to eat here if I were you. Save your money from the over priced poor quality food.

1 /5 Gerson Espinoza: Wish I could accommodate this review with pictures but I decided to write it later in the day after reflecting on my visit. Something has changed, whether ownership or management but this is not the same mom’s cafe. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which used to be comically huge and just a great meal overall and I would add that oily pepper flake hot sauce they had and I would love it every time. The new moms cafe had cut back on the menu and changed the items entirely, the new chicken fried steak size was comparable to the size of my palm and was actually one of the most disappointing meals I had had in my life. I should have sent it back but we waited about 30 minutes for our food (party of 2) and I was very hungry. Wait staff was nice as usual but the atmosphere had definitely changed. There were about 3 other parties dining at the same time and you could tell people had decided to dine elsewhere. Very unfortunate, moms cafe used to be an Allen special and now it has become victim to modernization, make the food quality as “acceptable ” as it can be while cutting cost. But in this case, “acceptable” simply means “edible”.
