Fish City Grill - Allen (TX)

3 /5 Angelique Abola: I ate here back in September and I gave it a 1 star only because of the horrible tasting oysters. They tasted like they came from dirty sewer water from a stinky bay. Not fresh at all. I eat oysters a lot from other restaurants and this was the worst taste and portion size at the highest price. However, my husband enjoyed his fish sandwich and we shared fried pickles that were delicious. I also ordered gumbo which was ok. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and welcoming. The service was good too. I will not return because of the bad oysters. I will stick to the fish n tails oyster bar in McKinney for that.

3 /5 Jessica N: Food here is decent here. We ordered the gumbo, red beans and rice, house salad, calamari, hamburger for the kiddos, fish city sandwich. Fish was cooked to perfection but flavor was lacking in the fish city sandwich. The burgers were a bit dry. Gumbo was a little salty but the red beans and rice was perfect. Perfect portion size and the prices were decent as well. Service was good. Its a great place for small and large groups. Has a bar and grill feel and kind of marine vibes -suppose to feel like youre in a pirate ship type theme. I wouldnt knock it till you try it. May be your vibe. Till then, lets eat!!!

4 /5 GK: Food was fine, portion sizes seemed a bit off and I barely had any sausage in my red beans and rice. Service was great even on a Friday night as a walk in.

5 /5 PA Muller: This was a really good place to eat! Even though we went in through the wrong door (it seems to be the norm), we were greeted and seated. It is small but the service was outstanding and the food delicious! Jeremy, our server, always checked on us and made sure our glasses were filled. We both ordered fish and chips which was so delicious! The fish was not overly greasy and the fries were perfect. Not too crunchy and not undercooked either. My husband got the gumbo which he said was so good that it didnt need crackers. They have a full bar and gluten free options. They also have outside seating. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu options. Thank you, Fish City Grill!
