Jenna Jenkins Lauren is wonderful and Dr. B is great! An awesome team that I’m grateful to have looking after my oral health. Getting my teeth cleaned was the most relaxing part of my day! Highly recommend!

Ramya Ramachandra As someone who feels a bit anxious about dental visits, I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and kindness of Dr.Dizon and the entire team at Renken. They made me feel completely at ease. Dr.Dizon took the time to thoroughly explain the necessary procedures and patiently answered all my questions. Thanks to their care, I’m actually looking forward to my next visit!

Rachel Shelton I want to make clear that the number of stars I’ve given Renken in NO WAY reflects on the quality of dental care that I received there for the last 3 years. Dr. Dizon is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had – he’s kind, professional, extremely competent, and never once tried to convince me I needed a treatment that I didn’t need (which has been the case at other dentists I’ve seen). I am 1,000% confident in him, both as a person and as a dentist. Every.single.hygienist I saw there was amazing – very gentle and thorough. If I had a choice, I would stay with the team there for the rest of my life. 100/5 stars.
Unfortunately, I don’t have that choice. My experiences with their billing department are the complete opposite of my experiences with the clinical team. They have been nothing but difficult with invoices being sent prior to insurance even being billed, work being billed under the wrong provider, and all sorts of other issues. Two in particular stand out:
• When I needed Invisalign, they flat-out refused to honor their contracted price with my insurer. After months of research and hours on the phone with my insurer and then trying to convince Renken to honor their contracted price, I finally gave up and went to an in-network orthodontist, who not only honored the contracted price but gave me an additional discount for paying cash up front. And my teeth came out great!
• I selected this practice because they were in network, nearby, and my friend had a positive experience there. So after my last visit, which was preventative only, I was surprised to get a bill for almost $200 (it should have been just my $50 deductible). Upon investigation, I discovered that Renken had gone out of network TWO MONTHS prior to my appointment, and no one had notified me. My insurer admitted they should have informed me and is appealing the claim, but no one at Renken reviewed my treatment plan or costs prior to any work being done, as they usually do. I asked the billing department if, since I had been a patient almost as long the office had been open, we could work something out with this bill. No response. I notified them multiple times that it was being appealed and it might take 60 days yet they continue to call, text, and email about my “outstanding balance” and swear they can’t make the reminders stop (yes, Ive blocked them, but theyre getting around it). This is infuriating, and I’ll contrast it with a similar situation when my primary healthcare system was simply in danger of going out of network with my medical insurance, and I was sent multiple reminders from the provider that it *might* happen on a future date. See, Renken? It wasn’t hard.
Knowing what I know about the billing situation, would I still recommend Renken? Unfortunately, probably not. I don’t know about you, but no matter how good the provider is, one thing I don’t have time for in my life is fighting over medical bills, all while not feeling at all valued as a patient/customer. I can neither afford the cost of seeing an out-of-network dentist nor the continued time to fight with billing, so I’m on the hunt for a new dentist and hope the overall experience will be better, even though I doubt the dentist will be as wonderful as Dr. Dizon. I’ll miss him and hope he eventually joins a different dental group that is more patient-centered from top to bottom.
