1 /5 DiAnne Craig: Buyer beware! I went in this shop for the first time yesterday. I noticed it was not a typical "thrift" store. Prices were not typical of our local thrift stores. I did see a couple of boxes of old albums, the owner indicated they got from buying a storage unit. I had selected four, and found an album that was supposed to be Mamas and Papas. I had on new contacts, and asked the owner to read the number on the deadwax. I typed it in my phone to show her fair value. It was priced 84.50. Long story short, she offered it to me for 30.00. I got it along with four other albums. I got home, pulled out the record to test it and it was Tom Jones! Im attaching a photo of the deadwax number she told me I typed in my phone. And when I called her today to see if the correct album could be found. She said no, she didnt see it, and basically too bad. All sales are final. I would NEVER treat a customer the way she did. To add to this shops issues...apparently they cant make enough money to cover their Mastercard fees. So, in lieu of using it as a business expense, they charge customers the MERCHANT fee so they do not incure any cost. I contacted my credit card company and have disputed the 30.00 charge and the charge of their merchant fees they clearly cant afford. I will never go to this place. In my opinion this is unethical business practices, and will not support sellers who believe they have zero accountability. Prediction, wait for their closing sell. They will reap what they sow.
