1 /5 Alexie Tether: 0/0 no one would help me when trying to buy pants. I kept having to get dressed and go find sizes on my own and this was my first time buying pants in ages. I was in my travel clothes and I am assuming it was based on this why the staff decided to disregard me entirely. I did end up finding 3 outfits I needed for work but with no help from anyone there. Last time I will be spending my money with this particular store.

1 /5 Lindsey Robinson: Lina was extremely rude and unprofessional during our transaction. She spoke down to me and even laughed at me when I told her I was returning the products I purchased the week prior. All items had original tags and receipts per policy and were unwashed and unworn. She said I was “dishonest” and had “clearly worn the items” when they were still in the exact condition I purchased them in last week, they hadn’t even left the bag. Luckily the manager was able to finish the return, and show some kindness. The items were for an event that was canceled, so I couldn’t have worn them even if I wanted to. Returning items is already so anxiety provoking, being questioned and belittled doesn’t make it any better. I wish Lina would have shown more kindness in our interaction.

2 /5 Rebecca Prejean: Great clothes! Very chic and stylish But poor customer service. A woman cut in front of me in the line. The cashier saw what happened, looked at me, and didnt even acknowledge what occurred. She proceeded to help the woman who moved past me and treated me like I did not even exist. I would shop Ann Taylors line in the future because the clothes are amazing, however, I would more than likely bypass the actualy factory store because the customer service is sorely lacking.

Nadeem N: I walked into JCPenney with zero expectations actually, more like avoiding it for years because I assumed the prices would be sky-high and not worth the trip. But wow, was I wrong. This place was like walking into a secret warehouse of discounts that no one talks about. I don’t know if they’re trying to be low-key about it or what, because I swear these deals aren’t being blasted online or anywhere else I usually see ads. Its almost like they’re hiding these sales for people who actually show up in person. If that’s their marketing strategy, it’s working now, because I’m telling everyone. We saw Liz Claiborne handbags for 50% off, a rainbow wall of crewneck shirts for $5.99 each, Pokémon backpack sets, and even 4th of July sandal sales for under $30. You could literally redo your whole closet or back-to-school list in one sweep and not break the bank. I was so surprised, I had to stop and take photos not for clout, but to remind myself to come back, because my memory is mostly folders of random thoughts unless I log stuff visually. While I was browsing and snapping pics, an employee from cosmetic came up to me asking if everything was okay. At first I was like, “Uh oh, am I doing something wrong?” but she wasn’t rude at all—just doing her job and keeping an eye on things. Honestly, its rare to see staff that attentive anymore. She didn’t hover or make it weird, just checked in and moved on. Five stars to employee for being present and professional. The store was also super clean and well-organized. Clothes were folded, shelves were full but not chaotic, and everything felt intuitive to navigate. It didn’t feel like a chore to shop here, which for me is a big deal because most stores either overstimulate or underdeliver. JCPenney is officially back on my radar. Great prices, organized layout, attentive staff, and deals that deserve more hype.
