5 /5 iveeg s: Great place in El Paso Texas... You will love this experience! Once you are taken up the mountain, you have the option of staying and doing some sightseeing...or if you are up to it!... an awesome hike! They have access to a trail way above the desert sky... Its beautiful up here. We went early since it takes about 10-15 mins to load everyone in and take them up in groups of 6-8 depending. You could have a small picnic since the wind up there does not really allow for a full picnic. The trip up is pretty awesome! My daughter was a little scared but once we got up there, she absolutely loved it! Oh and take some money, they have a gift shop at the top. I cant believe that I grew up in El Paso and I never visited this park before. Parking is free but limited. Restrooms are clean. You do have the option to just hike for the day and I believe that its free. You can see all of El Paso, parts of New Mexico and Juarez!

5 /5 Kimberley Moreno: First time doing anything aerial and my husband and I loved it. The park rangers were very informative and knowledge. Great view of the mountain ranges and cities. On the website it suggested that you call before arriving due to weather conditions, please call ahead. A must do if youre in the area.

5 /5 Diego Hernandez: This is such a fun activity for a weekend adventure. Ive been on it twice and both times I was just as impressed with the mechanics of the tramway and enthralled with the views at the top. The ascent is around 900ft with the gondola moving at a speed of, I believe, 9mph so its nothing extreme. This is definitely a must if you have visitors from out of town. Just, overall, a lot of fun.

5 /5 Dan Pruitt: Great and cheap way to get to see all of El Paso and beyond. 360° view at the top with maps that point out all the different landmarks. We went on a Saturday evening and no one was there, but we were told it does get insanely crowded when deployments are about to head out from Fort Bliss and families are visiting.

5 /5 LP Ant: The line can be a little but its worth the wait. Smooth ride on the tram. Beautiful mountain scenery. Very nice view of El Paso, Ciudad Juarez (Mexico), and New Mexico. Will visit again next time Im in El Paso.

Castner Range National Monument - El Paso

Bradford Chase: FYI The location on Google Maps is only the sign saying you are entering or leaving the national monument, depending on which direction you are heading. There is nothing to see at the Map location. The Monument itself is a large area not actually open to the public. You can look into the park from pull outs along 375 and you can get information at the El Paso Museum of Archaeology. It is one of the newest National Monuments in the US. Best time to see it is when the hills are covered in Mexican Poppy Fields, which is Spring but only if they’ve had rain for a little while prior. Otherwise it’s typical Chihuahuan desert views.

Modesto Gomez Park - El Paso

Alexander Moore: The whole park is fenced off and is nothing but dirt. You cant get any closer to the X than in the photo I shared. Still, it is the closest viewing point to the X on the US side as far as Im aware.

Ellis County Museum - Waxahachie

Chris Villegas: Every country / city we visit , we always visit the local Museum, to help bring perspective to everything we arr about to see. However, most of everything they had in the museum was II WW memorabilia, which strike me as odd, giving the rich heritage of Waxahachie, Texas. Nonetheless, I do recomend the stop over and enjoy the beautiful southern hospitality at the Museum.

Bethlehem Revisited - Waxahachie

G A C: Great place to come and visit every Christmas, only two weekends very likely the first two of December. You basically go through a town where a lot of stables, houses, and animals are found, from chicken, goats, donkeys even to camels ( which I’ve never seen in Texas.) It is free admission but donations are welcome. Hot cocoa and water are also free even though donations are highly encouraged. Good to go with family members. You will see Herod, Roman soldiers, Mary and Joseph and more. I’ve been to this three times already and always enjoy it.

Getzendaner Park - Waxahachie

Jasmin Hamilton: A beautiful gem. Well kept and plenty of space for recreation, rest, and relaxation. Green spaces are essential for our physical, and mental health. Waxahachie can be proud of their work to provide such a park for their community. The trees in this park are big and ancient, telling a story about the area that buildings cannot. Thank you for seeing their worth and taking care of them.

Brown Chiles Park - Waxahachie

Kelli Hinojosa: This is a cute little neighborhood playground. There are three different activity centers in a cute woodlands theme: ages 2-5, 5-12,and a swing set. Both play centers have climbing activities and slides. The playground is surrounded by mulch so shoes are best for the kids to wear. The swings were too high for kids to get up on them independently but hopefully they will fix that soon. If you have a special need child in a wheelchair or scooter then you are slightly accommodated with one entrance into the playground but then you have the mulch to deal with. There are two benches for parents to sit but they are both under trees and covered in bird droppings. There isnt a parking lot so if you drive there you will have to park on the street . If you live in this neighborhood then you can walk there for some exercise.
