5 /5 Robert Mueller: This is a beautiful park. It has a playground for the kids. A great walking path to get some fantastic outdoor exercise or to just take a leisurely stroll. The wildlife is enjoyable too. The turtles & doves love to be fed. There is also a very tasteful Gandhi Memorial that is definitely worth checking out. Even though this place is busy, it doesnt feel crowded & its not loud. Its a very relaxing place. I definitely recommend going.

5 /5 Sandeep Kumar KAMISHETTI: A very calm and peaceful place for kids to get refreshed with lot of options to play themselves and get to know about new kids as most of the people staying in the surroundings will gather at this place after the noon temperature comes down. You see many turtles and fishes in the lake. The park is very much connected and is in the midst of many communities nearby. One thing to note when visiting this place is that pets are not allowed in the play area.

5 /5 Ananthanarayanan kuppuswamy: Very well maintained park with a lake and a walking track. Good place for walking both in the morning and evening. Number of seating facilities are available for senior citizens to take rest. Well maintained play area and very well used by the kids. Pleasent to watch the ducks, herons, doves, turtles and nutrias/beevers. People use to spendtime and enjoy fishing in the lake. There is a Mahatma Gandhi memorial plaza in this park.

Willy Nillie: As far as the bridge goes, its big, its gaudy, and makes absolutely no sense . . However, I do like that it allows safe access to the other side of the road on foot and provides some shade (if the constant gun blasting doesnt bother you). It also provides a good spot to park and enter the back side of Rowlett Creek Preserve.

Katrina Dawn Miller: Really neat museum to learn about the history of Garland, Texas. I enjoyed the second floor that has the history of the cotton, Kraft Foods building, and the old Garland newspapers. The museum is inside an old train station.

Patay Cakes: Sometimes they cut access completely off,if they feel like we are litter bugs so pick your and everyone elses garbage up,so we can see those beautiful sunsets!

Spring Creek Forest Preserve - Garland

John Arntzen: Ive walked this nature trail for years and its lovely every time. Its very well-kept by the city: its clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. Public restrooms are available at the start of the trail as well. Just make sure you drive up to the entrance slowly, its very easy to miss!

Downtown Garland - Garland

Jeff G: Downtown Garland is a nice place with a relaxed atmosphere. There are a couple bars and restaurants. And its got a pretty nice park in the middle of the Town square. Theres a good barbecue and beer place and a good pizza spot.

K BP: Not a bad spot. I visited after a recent storm so there was so much debris and trash along the water. You get a great view of the water and PGBT. Not sure about fishing, as the day I went it wasnt looking like a great day for it. Plenty of picnic tables and small grills. There is also covered picnic areas.
