Spring Creek Forest Preserve - Garland (TX)

5 /5 John Arntzen: Ive walked this nature trail for years and its lovely every time. Its very well-kept by the city: its clean, well-maintained, and beautiful. Public restrooms are available at the start of the trail as well. Just make sure you drive up to the entrance slowly, its very easy to miss!

5 /5 Austin Mayer: For Garland Texas this is a 5/5… The trails are simple and nice though rather short, with a very family-friendly vibe. There are also wide-open fields, and the overall atmosphere is like the kind of place where you can wave to people and they wave back. While there’s still some trash, it’s much more minimal compared to other parks I’ve visited. I only explored the right side of the park today, but I plan to return and check out the left side to get a fuller experience. Based on my first visit, it’s clear that whoever maintains this park has done a thoughtful job. I’ll update my review once I’ve had the chance to explore more, but for now, I’d recommend this park.

4 /5 Eric Larsen: I wish they would make the paved trail loop. Out and back is not as much fun. The paved trail is a great for walking and running, there are also off road trails.

5 /5 Gustavo Rojas: Such a lovely little thicket of forest, right in the middle of the hustle & bustle of the DFW... quiet trails, great diversity of plant communities, & well maintained... the trails are easy enough for beginners to trek through & interesting enough for experienced hikers to enjoy. Wonderful place to visit.
