Jeff G: Downtown Garland is a nice place with a relaxed atmosphere. There are a couple bars and restaurants. And its got a pretty nice park in the middle of the Town square. Theres a good barbecue and beer place and a good pizza spot.

Kathryn Jeurissen: Nice neighborhood park with a couple of play areas, small pond and walking trail. Good for families with kids of all ages.

K BP: Not a bad spot. I visited after a recent storm so there was so much debris and trash along the water. You get a great view of the water and PGBT. Not sure about fishing, as the day I went it wasnt looking like a great day for it. Plenty of picnic tables and small grills. There is also covered picnic areas.
Woodland Basin Nature Area - Garland

Adam Miklosi: Great river for kayaking and fishing, very quiet and peaceful place, to get in/out of water can be challenging with kayaks, unfortunately able to see trash around, there is room for improvement. Free little parking spot from Miller road
    Duck Creek Park - Garland
    Duck Creek Park
Thomas Taylor: Great paved hiking area, good safe playground, and great rainbow duck colossus. Never saw any restrooms in the area, but I was only in a specific section of the park for a hike so it may have been somewhere else like in the picnic area or in the playground area. Notice for hikers: when its been somewhat rainy at all in the area, some parts of the trail will flood. Even though the trail is paved, if its wet outside, prepare to have to either walk through some water or bypass the water via the mud.

Tiffani Hummel: This park, once a lovely escape, now suffers from neglect, with trash strewn everywhere. The sight of litter along the water and nestled in bushes along the trails is heartbreaking. Families come here to enjoy nature, but they are met with garbage instead of the beauty that should surround them. If the park were clean, it would be a perfect place for picnics, walks, and play. Its upsetting that a lack of care can turn a beautiful park into an eyesore, making visitors think twice before returning. The abundance of trash in this park not only detracts from its natural beauty but also poses a threat to wildlife. Animals may mistake litter for food, which can harm them or disrupt their habitats. This situation underlines the need for community action and responsibility. Regular clean-up efforts could transform this space, making it pleasant once again. If we all work together and respect our environment, we can restore the park to its former glory, creating a welcoming place for everyone to enjoy.

Danny Sansone: Close by access to western arm of L. Ray Hubbard. Theres some birding activity depending on season and lake level. The park is undeveloped.
Spring Creek Greenbelt - Fred E. Harris Section - Garland

Marissa M: There is no Playground here. There used to be a playground with sand, but they tore it out. They wasted all our taxes to put some giant statues in woodchips. I have 2 young children and both asked to leave the "playground" within 10 seconds of arriving. The only reason I gave stars is because the path around the lake is beautiful. If you are there for running or biking, you will have a great time.
    Tinsley Park - Garland
    Tinsley Park
Zach Gerk: Its a pretty nice park. Plenty of space for family and pets to run and play. There are some interesting wooded trails. Overall, not bad.
