    Houston Faith Church - Houston
J Kar: Ok so I haven’t gone but I just heard a YouTube message about sickness not always being natural and it being a spirit of infirmity/ a devil that may need to be cast out. I’ve been looking for a church that believes sickness can be supernatural when doctors can’t find because a lot of watered down churches will downplay or won’t believe it’s a demon. It looks like I will visit to see how far advanced they are in deliverance and if they do them for people that need it.
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church - Houston
Mary Flores: This is a very nice church, we go to mass on Sat at 430, the priest there make you want to come back to hear other services

Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church - Houston
Dorcas Martin: I really like Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. I went to a Juneteenth 2025 Community Celebration, the worship, food and atmosphere was great. We enjoyed a very delicious meal, 3 pieces of Bar-B-Que Chicken, Sausage, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Slice of Bread, Pickles, Onions, Jalapenos and for dessert Peach Cobbler, including an Ice Cold Tea. When we left from eating all guests received a $25 Gift Card from McDonalds, an Essential Bag and Blanket. Wheeler Baptist Church gives back to the community, it serves. My Bible says, the church should give something to the Widow and Orphan. I thank the church for a wonderful meal and I highly recommend Wheeler Baptist Church.

Amanda Gomez: Sometimes I have to remind myself how badly the poor are spoken to. I brought my Dad to a food distribution, we have been in the past but over 2 years ago. We lined up at 4 pm. Not once did anyone come outside to tell us what “line” to be in. Then allowed us to basically be passed up by everyone (and I think because of that we got freezer burned, meat that was torn open and exposed). When I mentioned this to Claudia who was giving us instructions, she basically humiliated me by stating “no matter what time you get here we open at 5:15-5:30”. Then proceeded to say it again in Spanish. All of this to help my Dad out. No basic respect for your time or human decency. Maybe next time they will send someone outside to make sure people are in the right line.
