Amanda Gomez: Sometimes I have to remind myself how badly the poor are spoken to. I brought my Dad to a food distribution, we have been in the past but over 2 years ago. We lined up at 4 pm. Not once did anyone come outside to tell us what “line” to be in. Then allowed us to basically be passed up by everyone (and I think because of that we got freezer burned, meat that was torn open and exposed). When I mentioned this to Claudia who was giving us instructions, she basically humiliated me by stating “no matter what time you get here we open at 5:15-5:30”. Then proceeded to say it again in Spanish. All of this to help my Dad out. No basic respect for your time or human decency. Maybe next time they will send someone outside to make sure people are in the right line.

Timmothy: I visited this church for the 1pm Sunday service in search of a new church home but was disappointed by how my family and I were treated. Upon arrival, the first usher insisted that there was a place where we could leave our children. Once we entered the sanctuary and tried to find a seat, another usher stopped us and informed us that families with small children needed to sit in the back or in the rafters. Ive never been to a church where I couldnt sit where I pleased. The start of the service felt more like the start of an NBA game, with loud music and people running up on stage, jumping up and down. I have been in a Pentecostal church many times and know what loud is. This was beyond loud. Like going to Monster Jam loud. When the pastor began talking about the new building after worship and immediately brought up the offering, it felt like he was saying, "Look what G-d did; now its time to pay up and show how good He has been." Halfway through the offering talk, my spirit of discernment told me it was time to leave, and I took my family out. I definitely did not feel the presence of G-d or the anointing here. My family and I will definitely not be coming back.

N A: A welcoming church with a thriving student ministry. This church has a place for people of all ages and backgrounds. Student ministry worship is led by talented student musicians who take time out of their busy schedules to rehearse. HNW makes every effort to ensure all students have equal opportunity to participate in church sponsored events.

Jonathan Reichel: If youre coming to this church please check to see if there is an Astros game playing before you arrive because parking will be practically impossible! Amazingly beautiful cathedral. Went for the Latin Mass at 11:00 a.m. and it was my first Latin Mass. Also probably the longest one of the year at 2 and 1/2 hours. But thoroughly Reverend and liturgically eloquent.

Heather Conerly: I am so grateful we found The Story Church and that It has become our church home. Pastor Eric and Pastor Geo challenge us to ask questions, wrestle with doubt and have taught us about the unwavering and unfailing love of God for us. Best decision of our lives has been to get plugged in and belong to this incredible community. Our children love the childrens program as well, special shoutout to Joan and the entire StoryKids team. Id give a 100 stars if I could. :) Thank you to the entire Story Team for what you all do.

Kelli Boreas: In 2012 this "institution" was the catalyst of my distaste towards the Christian and conservative genre of human filth. When you go to a place on a weekly basis and start relationships with others and gain trust in people and they ask in a notebook what you need prayer for and you are honest about feelings of suicide and are asked by church staff to please find another small group, we dont need people like you here If I step foot in your church, in your place of safety and worship of a loving God, and I think to myself while looking around, trying to meet others, if this is who i meet in your heaven, Ill take my chances in hell. I am not the problem, you are.

Amie Byone: Everyone is so thankful you’re there from the time you walk through the door. When the band played music, it got your heart beating and adrenaline going, till it was time for the service…then Pastor preached God”s word in a way for everyone to understand; He was REAL in his sermon, congregation was in tune with sermon; they have daycare and a lot of extra activities to join, such as marriage classes, functions to bring members together….they are like FAMILY!!! Awesome place to worship. Go check them out. They also have Hispanic service!!!

The R.O.C.K. WOI Church - Houston
DeShunda G: They dont have a heart for the homeless. They have PARTNERED with organizations that treat homeless people worse than crap. Truly they have failed the test of hospitality and compasson. I called the office on Friday 2-21 explained that the shelters have rejected me. If they could help i would even work for the church to pay off the hotel. The secretary hung up on me. I pulled up to their office to a Porsche and Benz sitting outside their office and a colorful display on their door promoting people but no reference to the Jesus. Every church should have an outreach to help the homeless. When I was hungry, when I was thirsty, WHEN I NEEDED A PLACE TO STAY.

Kristina Clemente: If youre looking for a church that is come as you are, NO judgement, and preaching straight from the Bible- then this is the place for you! Not only does Pastor Von bring an awesome word with his oratory skills, but the worship team will make you feel so much closer to God! The atmosphere just comes alive with the Holy Spirit! A place to make new friends not only for yourself but also for your children. I highly recommend you come by and give it a try, what have you got to lose? Well save you a seat!
