2 /5 Daniel V.: I’ve felt increasingly frustrated and disappointed with my recent experiences at this church. My first visit was truly encouraging, Pastor Abe delivered a powerful message in person, and it left a strong impression. However, my second visit, which happened to be on Easter weekend, was quite the opposite. Instead of a live sermon, a large screen was lowered, and the service was broadcast remotely.
This was especially disheartening because I had brought a guest with me, having spoken highly of the previous week’s service. Unfortunately, the following two services were the same, sermons projected on a screen. 1 live sermon out of 4 Sundays attended in a row.
If the intention is to offer a remote experience, it defeats the purpose of physically attending. Watching a service on a screen in a church building feels no different than watching from home, just with added commute and inconvenience.
Additionally, I was disappointed to learn that although the church advertises a singles group, there doesn’t appear to be an active group available. This was another area of interest for me, and the lack of follow-through was discouraging.
I hope the church takes these concerns into consideration and works toward offering more consistent live teaching and reliable, accessible ministries for the community
