5 /5 Darius Evans: My name is Darius, and I have been a patient at the Fort Worth location since the evening of Friday, February 14, 2025. My admission was prompted by a fall that occurred the previous Monday, leaving me in need of rehabilitation to regain my ability to walk. Faced with the daunting prospect of therapy, I felt anxious about finding a facility that would provide a supportive and reassuring environment. After exploring my options, I was given the opportunity to transfer to Texas Rehabilitation of Fort Worth. When I arrived, it was late in the evening, and most of the staff had already finished for the day, creating a quiet atmosphere that added to my anxiety. However, as soon as I met Shelia, the nurse assigned to me for the night, I felt a sense of relief. What truly stood out, though, was Angel, the patient care technician who was responsible for my care that night. From the moment I rolled through the doors, Angel exuded warmth and compassion that immediately put me at ease. She welcomed me with a genuine, radiant smile that conveyed a sense of comfort. Her friendly and approachable demeanor was far beyond mere professionalism; it felt as if she genuinely cared about my well-being and was invested in my recovery journey. Angel took the time to explain the processes I would undergo and answered my questions with patience and clarity. Her kindness transformed what could have been an overwhelming experience into a welcoming environment. For that, I am profoundly grateful. In those initial moments, I felt a glimmer of hope and reassurance, knowing I was in good hands as I began this challenging journey toward healing and regaining my independence. I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for several staff members who have made my experience here so welcoming, especially considering I have only been here for the weekend so far. My nurses, Shelia, Francis, and Robinson, along with one other nurse whose name escapes me at the moment, have truly impressed me with their professionalism and compassion. Each of them exhibits a remarkable level of dedication to their work and goes above and beyond to ensure that I am comfortable and well taken care of. They are attentive to my needs and have made it a priority to ensure that I never feel neglected. Additionally, I cannot praise the patient care techs, Angel and Lisa, enough. Their support has been outstanding; they check in on me regularly, ensuring I have everything I need and that I am doing okay throughout the day and night. In today’s world, it can be challenging to find individuals who genuinely care for others, but it is clear that Angel and Lisa take immense pride in their responsibilities. Unlike many who are solely focused on financial gain, these staff members exemplify a true passion for their roles and for providing exceptional care to their patients. Their commitment to helping others is a breath of fresh air and does not go unnoticed. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the physical therapy and occupational therapy teams. They have been wonderful throughout my recovery, and I appreciate the personalized one-on-one sessions and engaging group activities. The food has pleasantly surprised me; I initially had my doubts, but the meals are fantastic, thanks to the dedicated dietary team. I’m excited for Monday when I’ll meet the rest of this remarkable team. Their commitment to my recovery has made a significant positive impact, and I look forward to continuing this journey with them.

5 /5 Randy Koons: This facility was great. It was very clean, staff very kind, food was better than I thought it would be on most days, abd the Therapy staff was helpful. I would total recommend Texas Rehab Hospital to anyone needing Therapy.

1 /5 Lucy Silva: I hope and pray your stay rehabilitation will be better than my dads experience at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth. He was admitted on November 2nd after a stroke and was taken by ambulance across the street to the hospital. The pictures below are as he entered Texas Rehab and how he was the day left Texas Rehabilitation on November 26th. We questioned daily if we could PLEASE get my father seen by a dr., neurologist and if we could please have him checked out at Harris across the street. They kept saying his labs were ok. And that we could take him but they recommend against it as he was stable. Harris would send him right back because he was stable. Well when he left Texas rehab he was immediately admitted and stayed for 7 days!

1 /5 Shannon Lisenbe: When a family is going through the worst time in their life the last thing they need is to have the hospital/rehab facility do everything they can to push the patient out! This is exactly what Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth did to my mom! I have learned that what they write in their paperwork about a patient is what your insurance goes by in making decisions about what services they need! They gave up on her on the precise day she began to show progress after a massive stroke! Their communication to us the family has been terrible but when it came time to communicate to my mom’s insurance they jumped on that. Just know we as her family will never give up on my mom!! I would not recommend this place to any family that cares about their family member that is going through a crisis!!!!! The CEO Jake Daggett Is not a good man nor a Christian or he would make decisions based on what is best for the patient!!!! I walked in on many conversations about mom between nurses and or other people that work in the facility making fun of my mom which is completely unacceptable as well as just complaining about my mom and having to take care of her!!! I could go on forever but this situation that Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth has put our family through is sad and simply put heartbreaking. I pray that no one ever treats Jake Daggett’s family member like he has treated mom!!!

5 /5 Juanita Cook: Hands down and awesome Inpatient rehab facility. I Was in room 228. The nurse and techs We’re all Encouraging, treated you with respect, and helped you get anything you needed. I loved the one who came in and said hello Miss beautiful even though you know, you don’t feel beautiful at that moment. I bonded 1st And most with Drew. He took such good care of me in the beginning. They were always full of compliments. I enjoyed Talking to the little lady who cleaned my room. She was so sweet, Kind, and did a great job. The Doctors were very knowledgeable and if they weren’t knowledgeable in that subject, they called the correct Specialist, They spoke to you in Laymans terms, and we’re very polite. The physical therapy team knows their stuff. They all have doctor degrees, very encouraging, Loving, compassionate to all ages, race, and religion, and diagnosis. I thought group therapy was going to Be stupid ; however, I found out it was the best thing ever. Group is where you all get in a circle and we’re told to do 25 reps of each exercise while sitting in your wheelchair. What I thought was stupid actually gave me Upper body And leg strength when I could not walk. Group turned out to be my favorite thing of the day. In group, I noticed therapist take care of every little facial expression ache. Something someone couldn’t do on a one on one basis. They did it very kindly and Compassionately As to not bring attention to that person. They took the time to show those who couldn’t do the simple moves how to do them. Thank you for the group therapy team. I I love the fact that In our Daily one hour of occupational therapy and physical therapy each one hour was one on one. The only time you got a different therapist is if your person was off for the day. I bonded with Casey the first therapist I saw Her sweet smile every day and encouraging words help me get through the week and a half I was there. I asked to be challenged and she would do that in a medical way that did not hurt me. I love my Lauren, too, who also had encouraging words and a sweet smile. Lauren taught me something that I thought I could not do until my neck brace was off. She said trust me you can do it. Your head will not bend and she was right. Dustin, who I didn’t have many times but knew exactly How to train me. He figured out that a 1 pound weight on my right foot that was weak helped it to feel like my left foot. The therapy Team sent me home with all kinds of printouts so I can Continue my therapy at home. The therapy team we’re so wonderful, and taught me so much definitely lived up to their degree and then some. My hat goes off to Texas Rehabilition Hospital of Fort Worth You definitely knocked it out of the ballpark for me. Thank you for all of your kindness, encouraging words, and most of all Helping me walk again. I will definitely refer you to all I see that need your help.
