Duck Creek Park - Garland (TX)

5 /5 Thomas Taylor: Great paved hiking area, good safe playground, and great rainbow duck colossus. Never saw any restrooms in the area, but I was only in a specific section of the park for a hike so it may have been somewhere else like in the picnic area or in the playground area. Notice for hikers: when its been somewhat rainy at all in the area, some parts of the trail will flood. Even though the trail is paved, if its wet outside, prepare to have to either walk through some water or bypass the water via the mud.

4 /5 Ryan Fry: I live less than two miles from this park, so all I gotta do is ride my bike east on La Prada for a few blocks. It goes without saying Duck Creek Park is nowhere near as a big as Trinity Trails in Fort Worth, but Ive moved back to Dallas so now Im learning about comparable trails out here since I did return with the healthy habit of cycling. Ive been frequenting this place for about a month and I can say its got the miles to provide the burn I need for a decent outing. The large amount of trees is another advantage - one I didnt realize until I sampled the trails at White Rock Lake. My main problem out there has been the wind. On days when it climbs past 15 mph, Im not having fun. Wind of that speed doesnt carry much through Duck Creeks trail, though, and thats a blessing to which Im becoming increasingly spoiled. Most of the trail simply consist of a paved path through dense woods.

5 /5 Nakkia Lewis: I come here often. Great paved trails with pockets of nature. Theres a disc golf course, plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, and e night workout circuit as well. Everyone I come across is nice and cordial. I feel very safe here.

3 /5 K. M.: This park seems more fitting for its trails through trees, semi wooded area. Its not a big park for kids playing. The small playground is totally fenced in. There is a lot of grassy area to play catch with a football. I didnt see any picnic tables, and there were no restrooms. No dog park.
