2 /5 Rosa: First time customer here! Based on all the great reviews, I was excited to come in! Let me preface by saying I am not hairy. However, I went in for THREADING, (full face), since I wanted my peach fuzz gone and my brows cleaned up.
The owner is heavy handed. I’ve been going for full face threading for 20 years and experienced threaders glide over the skin to catch the hair in the threads. There’s no need to apply heavy pressure on the skin.
She also kept stopping to check my skin closely for hairs missed and would periodically stop to rub her hand over my face to… I’m assuming checking for missed hairs.
She was FAST AND RUSHING as well throughout my service, which was disappointing because the cost is comparable to corporately owned, chain locations and franchises. I figured since this was a family owned place, the service would be great and the price would be low. The price is not low.
The price is the same as what I pay at Wink, ($30 not including tip).
I left with so many small bleeding cuts on my face and neck along with soooo many spots she’d missed! I counted 6 bleeding cuts and a lot more missed threading spots on my face and brows.
I had to tweeze my brows when I got home and used my wand face razor on the rest of my face as well.
I will not be returning to this salon. Sad, because I love going to independently owned salons. There are sooooo many other great threading salons in South/North Irving with lower prices and better service.
The owner/threader needs to SLOW down to avoid cutting and missing spots.
