The nursing staff appeared overworked, and the doctors displayed a concerning lack of consideration. If given the chance to go back, I would unequivocally avoid entrusting my childs care to this NICU. Caution to all: consider alternatives and stay away from this facility at all costs. No stars if possible that could have been awarded.

Dale Thompson: Everything about the evaluation was dynamic, from the front desk personnel to the intake individuals, the Ultrasound individual and the Doctors staff. everyone was above the normal., receptionist asked if we wanted coffee, chips, cookies, etc. Wow, never before have I been so appreciated and made welcome. If every medical facility were to treat a patient going to medical facilities would not be a drag. I highly recommend this facility.

Alyssa Silerio: Horrible experience. Took my son to be seen for a cold he’s been having for over 3 weeks. I wasn’t able to get an appointment with his pediatrician so the school nurse suggested this place. I walked in and was treated by two nurses very polite and welcoming. Once Dr. Gonzales walked in and she asked what was going on, I began to explain to her and she seemed to be in such a rush, cutting me off after every sentence. Then she said I didn’t need to bring him in the emergency room and I told her that the school nurse had suggested to bring him in because of green mucus and shortness of breath. She kept insisting that I shouldn’t have brought him into the emergency room. Keep in mind my son was the only patient they had at that time.Super unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome and dumb.

Janice Nieto: If I could rate anything less for this doctor I would. Dr. Canales is not professional or careful with his patients. My 2 year old daughter was grabbed and tossed right infront of myself and his team of fellow doctors. When I called him out on the situation he could not even look me in the eye to give me a response to his inappropriate behavior and lack of professionalism. I was assigned this doctor in the children’s hospital and fired him and requested a new doctor be put on my daughters case. If you get Dr. Canales I highly suggest asking for a new pediatrician/doctor who actually likes his job and not sees your child as a pay check.

Kathy Herrera: I am so disappointed. I have recently switched to umc west for my special needs son. He is a 23 year old. He is on oxygen, and in a wheel chair. He has seizure disorder and many other issues. We were late to our appointment today. I tried calling and calling. I could not get a hold of anyone to ask if it was ok if we were late. They kept sending me to a place where I’d have to put in an extension, which I don’t have. It is a big ordeal to get my son to an appointment. My husband takes off of work, we rearrange my son’s shower and daily routine to accommodate the appointment, I had to get child care for my newborn who I am breastfeeding exclusively. Our vehicle used to transport my son got stranded and we had to run and get a new battery. We still showed up to our appointment only to be rudely told we would be seen, but after everyone else had been seen. My son can’t be up in his wheel chair very long due to a protruding coccyx bone. I feel we were unfairly treated. They are not equipped or considerate enough to care for very special needs individuals.

Elizabeth Chavez: Poor poor clinic. Staff at the front desk is terrible. They don’t answer the phone, it takes me at the most MINIMUM 3 calls to get through and that’s on a non busy day, during peak times, your call never goes through you have to find an alternate number. A particular lady named Gina works in the front and says they will do things for you but don’t. She claimed she would update my personal information and phone number on my file but didn’t,. I had specialty services trying to reach me for my son but they couldn’t because she had the incorrect number in my profile after I had pointed out to her that they needed to fix it. Stay away from this clinic, worse services and staff. The ladies in the front claim they’re doing they’re job and taking phone calls but all they do is chit chat, take long lunch breaks and text on their phone with their super long nails. Very unprofessional, there’s no supervision. When you go make sure you write down your appt days and times because the ladies at the front don’t know how to do their job and will mess up your appts.
