Carrus Health - Main Campus - Sherman Theresa Burk: I was recently a patient at Carrus. In the door and you are in the best care you can receive. Highly trained personnel from Doctors to technicians. I never saw one that didnt have a smile.
Sherman Medical Center - Sherman natalie selman: I never leave reviews but our experience was bad enough, others need to be aware.
My husband was taken here for a motorcycle accident by ambulance (so not our choice). The nurse we had was very hateful and you could tell she didn’t want to be there.
The people who did the x ray didn’t seem to know what they were doing and took forever!
My husband had a severe gash under his chin, they left it open as it was just bleeding and running all down his neck. I had to ask one of the nurses if it needed stitches. Her reply was “if it was me I would say no but I don’t know what his doctor’s preferences are.” He ended up getting 3 stitches after we told the doctor we wanted them. I guess they were just going to leave it open??
They also didn’t clean any of the blood off of him, I had to do it. I also had to get him dressed all by myself which was a struggle as he had a fractured elbow. They also weren’t going to even bandage or clean all of the road rash abrasions until I told them I wanted it done there. They were just going to send him home and I guess expect me to do all that.
I could go on and on but needless to say I don’t recommend this place at all and we will NOT be coming back.
ER at Sherman - Sherman jeannie via: Had to go in for my ankle. I thought I just twisted it. Not so lucky. I did manage to fracture a bone in my ankle. The staff was amazing, efficient and so nice. I love the make appointment feature for ER. Takes all the guess work out of how long you will be there.
Carrus Health - Behavioral Health Hospital - Sherman Opdahl Marshall “Skippy”: compared to other hospitals this place is great, its a mental hospital tho so i hated it
NOTES
-some staff were extremely rude, but only to kids who were violent (eric told some kid he deserved to go back to juvi, i hate you eric)
-pillows can be folded in half for more comfort!!
-other patients were cool and just like me
-food was way better than school food!! also if u dont like it, u can get a pb&j instead so yay!
-some staff are so cool and treat you like their your friend, like T!! shes cool :3
-we watcg movies here, yay
Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center- Emergency Room - Sherman Laura Caldwell: I had an unfortunate situation I had to deal with and recover in the hospital for 9 days. I was on the 2nd floor and every single person from housekeeping, techs, nurses, the mri tech, Drs., food service asking about food preferences - every* single* person* I encountered, on every single shift, including nights and weekends, for 9 days was so kind and helpful. I did not have one bad experience. It also happened exactly this way a couple years ago when I was there for a similar situation. They were completely amazing and that’s why I chose this hospital again. I can’t say thank you enough for being there for me during one of the worst times of my life. You handled me with such care and every single person deserves a raise. They can’t possibly make enough. Thank you so much.
